Opened and sat for 2jours while preparing dinner. Out of the bottle, it had a jammy dark fruit aroma. It was a dark ink with the edges dark as well.
At first sip, it was spectacular and did not disappoint. It only got more layers of flavor as the bottle progressed. Randy and team really had something here! Great job.

I had some pretty high expectations for this wine because of the wine makers. With that perspective, the wine was good, not great. I expected a little closer to the great side.

Opened and let sit for 2+ hours and ran it through a strainer. The wine had a distinct smoke ambiance to it with the fruit a little flat or diminishing. Maybe held on longer than I should have.

What an absolute treat this wine was. A great example of what Harlan is capable of. Decanted and rested for a few hours while getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Layers of dark berry and red fruit, with a touch of smoke and a little bit of sage. I’m so glad I held on to this one.

First taste was very fruit forward with currant and herbs. Would Paired well with a fatty protein. Could use a few more years on the wino-calendar

Opened magnum for 6 hours, for a group of friends. We tasted dark fruits, licorice, pepper, and notes of herbs. Very full bodied, approachable and lovely with a red meat or lamb. Wonderful wine.

A little on the sweet side for me and I don’t see this as a cellar keeper. Good for an additional wine for the night.

Decanted for 2 hours, was a second bottle on the night. Ate with our Easter Prime Rib, and was not as intense as the previous wine. Still, dark fruits on the nose and palate, cherry, herbs, and chocolate.

Will be a wonderful, well balanced in a few years. I did not get heavy alcohol or oak.

Easter dinner! Decanted 4 hours and out popped this beautiful nose of berries, mocha, and mint. The pour did not disappoint either with those notes plus black cherry, currants and a slight hint of smoke. Should be a drinker for the next 5-10 years.

One of the better wines o have had in quite some time I enjoyed the overall balance and velvet of this wine. Simply put; soft mouth on the front, slight herbs with gentle fruit and a long finish.
Last bottle, with heartache. We need a “love it” option.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like black currant (cassis), blackberry, flint, light toast and lead pencil. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

15 years old and still vibrant. Went to a nice steakhouse with the family, and it even fooled the Som that it was a merlot. Soft dark berries with a hint of oak and vanilla. Perfect with a steak.

I opened and let sit for 1 1/2 hours. Dark with little resistance on the edge. Smell of currant, light oak and a touch of herb.
First taste was wonderful, I really couldn’t believe the complexity in that short time. I enjoy dark fruits, hints of sage with a light finish of vanilla. Like a desert!
Should have bought more!

Opened up after an hour and that was a long hour to wait! We had a bad bottle and had to improvise.
Initial dry dark fruit, raspberry and a mild touch of oak. Very well put together flavor and evolved into a true Boudreaux style wine. Several levels of flavor.

I’d drink one again and this time open up for 3-4 hours.

I feel as if it was way too soon. Opened and drank 1 1/2 hours later and it was really a nice starter bottle. Oh the regrets but o still have a few bottles left.

Tasting notes; black fruit with notes of sage and graphite. Also a finish with a slight hint of vanilla. Definitely open with enough time to give it a chance to come up to speed.

Cork was in tact but close to breaking down completely. Open and gently decanted removing light sediment. We poured into our glasses and it had very little nose, only light oak. Waited 15-20 minutes and the wine certainly calmed down and you could taste light berry and sage.
All in all, it should have been drank a decade ago. My mistake, just would have enjoyed with more fruit.

Nice and balanced with a backend of vanilla. Paired with French onion soup and lamb. Worked out very well on the palate. Oddly enough, I don’t feel it was babied with the cellar.

I have mixed feelings about this wine... It was delicious, bold, balanced and paired well with red meat and foie gras. Truly a great wine that my wife and I enjoyed.

My mixed feelings is that I only have one bottle left!

Nice color, needed to open up for a few hours.. Still very young although it has hints of cassis and dark berry. Still very youthful in appearance with huge, viscous legs. Completely opulent. I would give it a few years to enjoy.
