Very enjoyable. Does anyone know how the name of this winery is pronounced? BUT-Y, Beauty, Booty? It doesn't matter, my wine group loved it.

P&P. This started out deliciously savory, becoming more so as it warmed from wine fridge temp. Trademark Rocks Funk on the nose, with very little fruit apparent at all. Mostly savory umami notes, pepper, sage, coffee grounds and only a hint of plum. Day 1 this was a solid 93. Funneled half of the bottle into a 375ml and put it back in the wine fridge overnight.
Tried it again the next night and it was all prunes and stank. Intolerable and dumped. Day 2 was barely an 84. Split the difference on final score. Once again, I'm shown that the 2011s from Washington are falling apart quickly. Trying to rid my cellar of them in the very near term...thankfully not many left! Drink now.

7/30/18, 12:05 PM - Had a 11 No Girls Syrah this weekend, I think its a 90 at best. Not real impressed with the 11 Grenache either. Not sure whether to hold these or just start drinking them down.

I hate to say - but I agree with the majority of the reviews on this site. I decanted the bottle for about 2 hours. On the nose, it does have lots of dark fruits, raspberry, chocolate. At first, I thought could this be in line with the rest of the reviews? I had high hopes at this point.

On the palate, it is full bodied, but rather thin, almost tastes "watered" down. I took another sip, and got more of the same. Don't get me wrong, this is a flavorful Napa cab (easy drinking, crowd pleaser, not too complex), but the way this was hyped up and marketed, I was really expecting a lot more, which I assume is what others have also experienced.

The only negative part of this wine I think is that I paid $44 per bottle, and now have 2 left. For the same price, there are other producers who make a "better" wine. Take it for what it is. If you have this wine, drink a bottle now, you will be pleasantly surprised, but then brought back to reality realizing how much you paid for this, and wondering how could this really have been >$120 that last bottle claims!

1/18/18, 5:14 AM - I had the same experience, so i called last bottle and told them they way overhyped this and i felt ripped off. They said I could return it if I wanted to . Bottom line is be cautious and leery about all their hype!

Opened the bottle this morning, expecting to drink it in celebration of today's big election. Instead, we drank the bottle in quiet, sad consolation. A wonderful bottle of wine, and a terrible day for our country.

OMG. Can't believe I laid this down. NFG! longshadows pretends to be a top WA producer, but there wine just doesn't lay-down to stand any scrutiny. Overly tannic when young. FoMunda Cheese after a little aging.

Yet another disappointing bottle of this overproduced, overhyped mediocrity. This example was stinky, full of VA with no compensating merit. Next time, somebody kick me before I buy in quantity without first tasting.

8/1/13, 8:41 PM - I agree totally - the bottle I had was pretty bad. My wife concurred. Poured 1/2 of it down the drain, unfortunately I bought more before tasting, my bad.

Harley1199 - send your address I will gladly send you my other bottle for free other wise I will use it for cooking.
