Just entering tertiary territory, and was singing. Years to go. Dark fruits, tannins dissolved. Good effort, excellent for the price.

High toned, fruit forward, but well integrated. Amazingly alive after 11 years for a CAPN.

Pretty good, middle of the fairway, but there is better QPR out there.

Opened after 30 minutes, a little steely before. Very fruit forward and smooth.

Deep dark fruits, but still fairly primary, even as you can see it stepping into what it is supposed to be. Let sleep for 3-5 more years.

Deep, black current, vanilla and a sort of velvet mixed with broad tannins. (Hot harsh.)

Had expected more, but this is just close to gone/nail varnish. Drink up.

Depth without might. Slightly high toned, which disappears after a little open time. Red and blue berries, including the signature cranberry one. Some of the animal came out to play to.

I feel like giving a straight 90 is such a cop-out, but this wine is just that. Easy livin'. Not bad, not great.

It's a bit fruit forward and a little concentrated, but without enough tannins to make it go the distance. Fairly plush 30 minutes in. Dark fruits and a little peppery. I like.

Might have been drinking this too early or too little decant (1 hour). It is bright and full of red fruit. Nice acidic notes, but a bit too concentrated on the palate.

Red berry and some earth, but very noticeable TCA detracted from what otherwise would have been a delightful experience.

Too early to rate. A wall of dark fruit matched by a wall of oak. In a few years when this settles down, I expect it will be delicious.

Nice but a bit heavy on the lack of subtleties on PnP. Opens up after about 1-2 hours, but still B I G.

This is a big beast, and should probably rest for a while. Yet it is delicious now. Against a sort of brambly base of dark fruits and tannins, there is a much brighter and obtrusive red fruit element. I think this wine can go whiles.

Checking in on this now. Different beast than upon release, now showing more vintage like characteristics. PnP has it being jammy with a hint of prune on the palate. Will wait before making a call.

OK. 1-2 hours in, this becomes something else. Corduroy tannins speak of longevity (thought not as long as some vintages of LVD), some nice garrigue blends in with the dark fruit on the nose. The jammy fruit is gone. Yeah, the bottle might be more brawny than one normally thinks of from Donjon, but it is just good. This is an exceptionally nice bottle of CDP.

You either like this or you don't, and I do. Hammerhead type of wine, but clearly defined. Medium to high acidity, with still noticeable tannins. Nose has dark fruits, a little red, and a little too much plum, whch could be confusing for fire-starters.

Good, but a bit oaky and quite early. The plummy nose made me think overripe part of the time. Way too young to tell.

Garrigue, Kirsch and dark fruits. A little bit of a green piercing note, which seems to fade over time. I'd recommend a couple of hours of decant.
