Début vintage. Ultra light, translucent color. Lovely nose of sour cherries and barnyard. Super delicious, easy flowing on the palate. Light red fruit and stones. Bright acidity. Great, happy wine.

More serious compared to the 2014, darker, still showing great purity of fruit with marks of lavender and pepper. I’d give this a few more years in the cellar.

Too young, but plenty to be happy about here. Lovely dark fruited with notes of flowers and just a hint of chocolate from the oak. The fruit needs to settle down just a bit and over time, this will be a great Tondonia.

In a great spot now. Opens up with a funk, animal notes. Notes of cranberry, orange. Earthy. Very cool and upright. This has always been great.

Tasted up against the 2012, this is more reserved, just a tad lighter and outright delicious. Floral nose, pretty red fruit, cherries and raspberry, soil. This is airy, feminine, understated and it flows with ease. Great wine. Delicious now, but will keep.

Lots of matter here, very expressive with notes of kirsch, raspberry coulis, pepper and earth. En danseuse. Tasted up against the 2014, this has more power, is more full on. Delicious now but will easily go another decade.

Tasted against the 1998 Balmoral Syrah. Very cool expression, funky nose with animal, leather notes. Lean body, feminine, notes of olives, broth, tea. This is showing very well right now, there’s lots of character, in fact I like it better than the 1999 that I opened recently. Good fun to taste this against Australian Shiraz - two different worlds.

Ripe dark fruit, juicy, loads of white pepper, just a hint of milk chocolate. Quite delicious, especially with red meat. Still young, will gain more complexity with further cellaring but certainly no harm drinking it now. Tannins close to fully resolved.

Sensational and much better than the 2008 version of the same wine. Light yellow color. Super expressive with notes of lemon, chalk, salt and spices. Precise and focused with great cut, this still appears young. Wow.

Getting there now, soft and subtle compared to the 2018, more on green olive notes, tea and broth. While this is a nice wine, I think this is fading and judging from my 2018 note, I’d rather have enjoyed my last bottles back then.

Gorgeous. Black olive tapenade, tar, flowers. Sprinkles of dark fruit, pebbly, alive. White pepper. Cool, calm and collected. The price tag is getting quite ridiculous, but this is truly delicious, sumptuous Syrah.

Still youthful, this is strict and vertical, light and airy, dark-fruited with notes of flowers, iron and broth. Good acidity, fresh. Tannins almost fully resolved. Keep.

Not oxidized, but quite evolved. Deep yellow color. Rich and complex wine with a creamy texture. Notes of lemon juice, white and green fruits, brine and rock. Relaxed now, smooth, lacks a bit of cut. Not sure if this is a representative bottle, but if it is, I don’t think this wine will get any better. Disappointing.

Stunning. Opens up with a nose of flowers, blueberry and cracked pepper. Crushed rock on the palate, animal notes, dark fruit. Airy and light, very precise. Sense of place. Perfect spot right now.

Floral. Lovely pure fruit in the lighter end of the spectrum. Liquid thyme/lavender. Light and lively, no bells and whistles. In a perfect spot now and this goes down easy.

Not a great bottle. Seems oxidized, although not entirely gone. Just advanced.

Is taking on more character, dark fruited, some notes of tobacco, thyme and lavender. Good, upright style with acidity to provide freshness. Dries out at the end though. The impact from oak. Will certainly keep but I doubt this will get better.

Sweet Grenache, kirsch, garrigue. Surprisingly light on its feet, not heavy or over the top at all. Agreeable but at the same time unexciting. A lonely bottle in the cellar.

In a very good spot right now. Very Pegau with bright cherry fruit, iron, beef blood. Notes of leather, garrigue - tertiary notes sneaking in. This is vertical, well structured. I don’t think this will be a long distance runner and I’m not sure this will improve from here, perfectly delicious now.

My one and only bottle. Light red color. Funky nose, barnyard. Light cherry fruit, some green notes, garrigue on the back. Good acidity. Surprisingly lean and well proportioned for a 1998. Old-style Neuf. Positive surprise.

Fully mature now, on dark fruit, black olives, smoked meat notes. Good acidity, lift. Slightly rustic, animal notes as well. Lovely, old-school Côté-Rotie.

The bottle I opened in 2018 appeared fully mature, this one appears like a baby. Light yellow color, opens up with a nose of citrus, salt and stones. Razor sharp on then palate, tucked in, saline with tight fruit, citrus and liquid stone. Great wine, this one, some bottle variation it seems.

Serious, manly wine, and still not close to maturity. Deep, dark red fruit. Notes of cherries, soil. Tightly coiled, structured. Takes time to open up. No tertiary notes to speak of yet. Wait. Amazing quality for a village Vosne.

Light yellow color, much fresher compared to the 2009 version. There’s good complexity here, a mélange of various stone fruits, minerals. Still a wine of richness, but that’s the nature of the Marsanne from the Northern Rhône. This is a great wine, needs to paired with food.

Deep golden color. Notes of orange confit, almonds, butterscotch. Rich wine, some marks of oak, slightly dry. Spices. On it’s way to maturity, tastes like Hermitage. Would have liked a bit less oak on this wine. Needs food.

It’s unbelievable how this wine has held up. The color is still light yellow and this is razor sharp with notes of citronella, salt and stones. It’s just slightly more relaxed and soft compared to my last bottle 5 years ago. Ultra classic Chablis, still with plenty of life left. I love this address.

Elegant, refined fruit. The Mourvèdre shows providing animal notes, dark fruit. Good freshness and nerve. Already lovely, the vintage is a lighter one, but I think this would benefit from another 2-3 years in the cellar.

Sour cherries, lots of sun here, but also good freshness. Tastes like a cross of a Beaujolais and a Norhern Rhône Syrah with it’s light frame combined with spices. It’s a youngster for sure, and I think it needs time in the cellar for the fruit to settle down. Nevertheless, delicious right now.

Animal farm on the nose, a hint of sulphur. Dark fruit. Rustic. Much more elegant on the palate with marks of red cherry fruit and spices. Long and deep, serious wine, typical Morey. Not a crowd pleaser but, for me, really interesting, engaging and true to place.

Made from 2/3 Marsanne , 1/3 Rousanne. Starts out with notes of green apple combined with melon and peach flavors. Quite spicy, curry and anise. A hint of lime as well. Quite rich, 14%, but good acidity makes sure there’s freshness as well. A food wine, Asian food for example.

Pronounced match stick on the nose, toast. Ripe and super expressive on the palate, grainy texture, notes of citrus and toast. Broad and penetrating, this is a big-scaled, manly Chassagne bordering on being too much. Have a small ? on the sulphur regime.

I have 3 bottles of this wine, and judging from the color clearly looks like this bottle is more advanced than the other bottles. This is clearly somewhat oxidized with notes of honeyed fruit, almonds and exotic fruit. It’s not entirely gone, but also not entirely correct.
