I usually love Buccella Cabs, but for some reason this one was just sort of mediocre or meh to me. This was my first tasting of the 2015. The other vintages I have had back to 2011 were more bold, rich, thick, and bursting with flavors. It’s not that this bottle was bad, it was quite pleasant, but way less than I was expecting. Decent red and black fruit, medium body for a Napa Cab and a medium finish. Hopefully (compared to my other experiences with Buccella) this was just an off bottle or I was having an off night. And I did have this as a pop and pour, so maybe it needed to decant.
