Not bad. Watery impression. Probably not a repeat purchase.

Improving with each subsequent bottle!! Holding up very well, and is more round and elegant . Shook off the Calistoga tannins nicely, and is throughly enjoyable and easy to drink.

Rounded and lush, not as rustic as had been. Not holding up as well as the merlot from this producer is.

Beauty!! Goes to show how bottle age makes this wine fair SOOOOOO much better. Wish I could source another case!

Delicious. It's scarcity is a shame though, and it is unfortunate that it sources so little from the vineyard.

Delicious wine, slight bricking on edge, but with life ahead. Good Acidity, nice tannin and med length finish. Heady nose of cherry and dark plum.

One of the first zins which I was truly bored with. Thin and listless in body and concentration. Not looking for a fruit bomb, but there was no raspberry-coffee-bramble-toffee or port nose or palate. Expected much better from the reviews and store tickler, was this was all hot air!! Give me a Klinkerbrick, Cline or Williams Selyem (truly rewarding) anyday!! Joel Gott for that matter brings the thunder for around half price.

Wine was nice after an hour or so of airtime. On first pop it the acids were overkill, but everything mellowed and bloomed while open. Nice wine with life ahead (4-5 years).

Damn that was good. It reinforces with me how well WS does Pinots!! I still have around 12 cases of WS from over the years, and thought it time to taper off and share some scheckels with other wineries, but damn after that, it's time to rethink percentages.

Much more shiraz like than a cab. Almost got the impression that it was mis-labelled. Looking as if it is losing it's color to bricking, still thick and viscous. Big raspberry bouquet. Hearty winter wine which apparently appears to fill the niche for Gallo Hearty Burgundy drinkers such as my father.

Found this one awesome. Not complex, but perfect balance, ripe red fruits, adequate acids, and mildly perfumed. Choice quaff!!

Fresh, nice color, no bricking yet but acids softening slightly. Great bottle, well received, and somewhat complex. No animal to it, but ripe black fruits.

Awesome aromatics and blooms from the glass. Moderate tannins and acidity, make this more of a short term drink. Uncomplicated but well executed.

Another stellar WS chard. Almost never has disappointed me and this was no exception. Full throttle, a little cream/buttery, still fresh and could go another 4-5 years. WS chard with age are spectacular!!!

Everyone loved it. Opened rather quickly (30 minutes) and transformed beautifully. This was a trial bottling to test the waters for the single vineyard offerings. Looks like the wallet takes a hit this year.

For $5, this is a winner of summer quaff. Typical characteristics of S.B., and easily passes other offerings at twice the price.

This winelooks like urine which sat around for a few days. The deep dark gold is now turning brown, but the wine still tastes comparatively fresh on the palate. The nuts are still there. The acids are alive, the yeast has turned more tertiary, so the only thing pointing to it's age is the color. This wine has meant quite a bit to me, as it was my first foray into Shcolium Pro wines. As a matter of fact I think I wrote the first review of their wines with this bottling. Still good but drink up.

Phenom nose, awesome length on finish, contemplative, well balanced. Judicious oak well crafted and will wait another 2-3 years to try next bottle, but right now da bomb! Cork had NO seepage and very clean bottling.

Green and unripe. Better examples found in upstate NY and of course Germany. Owen Roe, while I love the winery, shold stick to it's gloriously done reds, and veer away from the urge to tempt fate with riesling.

AWESOME bottle!!!! The color alone was intoxicating and mesmerizing to look at. Nice acids holding fast, and not showing signs of age. Butterscotch nose, vanilla and yes, oak. Silky mouthfeel to it, viscous and shows no heat for the alcohol it can carry.
