Loved it! Shared the bottle with some nice pram, aged Gouda and bread. Aged beautifully, balanced with a nice finish. Medium body with tanins subtle... Enjoyed the nose, rich and full of that classic Bordeaux essence. Wish I had more!

I liked the bottle, but as others noted, you can tell it has a short life remaining. The nose is missing for a wine that had some bigger fruit in its day, and the finish is short. The wine has does have nice integration and subtle flavors of berry. It was a good value.

Awesome. Really a beautiful wine. The nose is soft and subtle, color is a nice purple brown. The fruit is balanced and the tannins are not overpowering. The flavor tastes less like fruit, more like leather... I wish I had more of this!!

This is a very nice wine, and yes it has BIG tannins. I enjoyed the nose reminiscent of the sangiovese component. Good color. Lots of blackberry. Good finish

This is a really nice bottle of wine. It has aged beautifully, the tannins are soft, and the fruit well balanced. It has aged beautifully. Having had this bottles several years ago, the age has served it well. Nice hints of cherry and a bit of vanilla. Good nose, moderate finish... Exceptional value.

Overall, a real disappointment. I had high hopes given the "wine of the year" accolade from Spectator. We shared the bottle this weekend and I found it more light than i had expected. The nose was lacking, and the wine didn't have the body I had hoped. It is an elegant glass as noted in some other reviews. Smooth, but earthy, nice fruit. Just nothing memorable for me here...

I'm a fan. Very nice value. Nice nose, good finish, liked it best after it got a bit of air. Very nice chocolate and cherry taste!

Yes, this is a very big wine. Extremely deep purple in color. Nice, but not as rich in the nose I would have expected. It has very nice balance, with flavors of pepper and big chewy fruit. Enjoyed the finish as well! Will continue to drink well for a long time.

We really enjoyed this bottle. The tannins were still pronounced, and the nose was light, but it's an exceptional bottle. Drinking beautifully and ever so soft. You can tell it's an elegant wine with rich, yet subtle flavors. These still have another 10 years!

Paired this up with some nice lamb chops and a blue cheese salad. I liked the bottle as a very workmanlike cab. The nose left a little to be desired for me, color was rich, but not deep. The wine liked the extra air and improved in smoothness and complexity after an hour or so. I tasted the leather, some blackberry, earthy. A good choice for the money.

I liked it. Light on the nose, deep and rich in color, tannins softer than expected. Non exceptional finish. Big and fruity.

Loved it! Rich and deep in color, nice but not big on the nose.Tremendous fruit and a hint of chocolate. Had it with sirloin and paired beautifully. Certainly could use more time, but drinks well now.

I was remarkably surprised at this one, thinking it was just an old bottle that I was sure had gone bad. Exceptionally smooth and subtle in flavor. A little chocolate here, but the fruit was lacking...

I really enjoyed this bottle. A little light on the nose, earthy, tannins were well balanced. Color was a very deep and dark shade. Nice but not long finish of cherry and berry. I thought it an excellent value and wish I had more.

Some age on this bottle and I fear it is close to turning. Not much nose here. Color is deep & rich. It opened up some to reveal the blackberry and currant flavors, but fading...

Very nice Chardonnay. Smooth, full flavor and rich color. Subtle fruit and non-overpowering oak.

It was as expected. Light in the nose, thin structure, lacking in finish. The wine has decent color, and drinks smooth. Nicely acceptable after it opened up.

Can't say I enjoyed the nose, right off the bat. Notes led me to believe it a bit on the downturn, but i don't think so. The taste was smooth with balanced tannin. I got the chocolate, and some of the berry.Nothing remarkable in the color or finish. Decent value.

Good color. I liked the spice and berry flavors. It's a bit on the way down the flavors didn't seem as "clean" to me as I'd like. A super value

Boy, this was really terrific. Shared with friends and as it opened up it just got even better. I would guess this bottle was around 4 years old. It had a terrific balance and velvety smoothness. The age definitely helped soften it out. A deep plum color, a little on the bigger side, and very nice finish.

I always enjoy this wine. Friends wanted this with cheese and sushi prior to dinner. The usual, no surprise pinot grigio. Light to the nose and palette, the citrus is mostly lemon-like to me...

I'd not had the Allegrini in a while but did enjoy the bottle with friends. Served with a couple of different cheeses, and it was just a bit big to make that work. It's powerful, but not my favorite. Didn't have the nose I had expected.

Great nose, cherry fruit, good tannins, not too rough, this is a wine to enjoy now or over the next 5-10 years.
