Great patio sipper, still drinking well from a consistent producer. Grass predominates, with lychee. Paired well with spicy mahi-mahi.

Wow, a nose of sweet black cherry. A lot of sediment would recommend decanting. Menthol up front followed by cherry cordial mid-palate. About 8 second finish. Very soft tannins, if you have any left drink up. Had about 2 hours airtime before. Wish had bought more a few years ago, only purchased 1 at the time.

An Excelllent shiraz, agree with other tasters. Nose of blueberry and boysenberry. Dark, almost black coloring. Blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, and chocolate on the palate, with some integrated oak. Silky mouthfeel with 10 second + finish. Comparable to the 2007. Very enjoyable.

This is an excellent syrah. The nose had some slight funk which quickly blew off. Very fleshy core of dark cherry, meat, and spice, about 20 second finish. I wish I had bought more.

Not bad, I was not a big fan of pinotage in the past. I expected a huge fruit bomb, but this wine was not over the top. A Pleasant surprise, with dark fruit and cigar box on the nose, the same on the palate.

Tasted along with the 2007. Has blackberry and lavender on the nose. Moderate amount of dark fruit on the palate. With some acidity Finish dropped off quite quickly. Compared to the 2007 it really can't compete. Not bad for the price.

Tasted against the 2008. Both had about 5 hours of airtime in the glass and drank over 2 days. The 2007 is far superior to the 2008. The airtime really let the nose blossom. Still feel this is drinking very well right now. No real change from previous notes. Has the structure that it should improve with cellaring, but it is really hard to not drink this wine now.

Had a small taste of this at a dinner party, unfortunately should have been decanted longer. Popped and poured. Held it's own against a 98 insignia, but the insignia was much more integrated and complex. I wish I would have had another glass after 1-2 hours of airtime. Had big Napa fruit, and seemed to have the structure for a great wine with some time in the cellar. Would like to try this again in a few years.
