2006 Château Léoville Poyferré St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

It is a good wine but not my expectation for the Leoville Poyferre. It does have some classic elements of St. Julien, but it is a bit “weak” or “small” for impression of this year, especially for a Deuxiemes Crus. It seems that it is not optimistic to say it can still be ageing for several more years, so my suggestion is to drink it now.

Great aromas when it was poured into the glass. After a while, the nice aromas is still there, the black fruits become more obvious. It is not as impressive as the first hit, but it is still good. A bit spicy with a taste of tobacco and vanilla. Medium-full body and acceptable length of finishing. Still a pretty good wine, especially as a second wine.

2015 Sacred Hill Pinot Noir Marlborough
Very basic and direct. Extremely short for finishing.
