Nothing special about this wine. Medium nose, middle and finish. It tasted like a boring Zin.

The nose appears a bit odd at first but contains lots of vanilla and chocolate. Paired with Mom's Texas Sheet cake this stuff overpowered it. It was the better desert in comparison but don't tell her. Medium heavy with cherries in the middle. Overall this was an outstanding experience.

Just as good as 2003. Soft approachable wine. Warm and lucious in the middle with a hint of mocha on the finish.

Effervescent/electrical start to this wine. Let it sit and this strange character smoothed out. After a bit of settling this wine came in nicely. Very enjoyable but not a knockout.

No decant. Ordered and drank at Kelly's birthday dinner at Bistro on Main. Impressive to me. Indications of a strong tannic backbone. It came across somewhat young and tight with several hints of 'good' things to come for the patient. Went well with the rare filet and chocolate cake. I'd rate this currently an 85 but with room to grow. - vcb

A strange nose at first that quickly smoothed out after some open time and contained a hint of mocha. Heavy sweet cherries in the middle of the mouth. Mild warmth with a gentle finish. Full of personality.

This wine is the opposite of its label, boring. I found it a bit steely and relatively uninteresting. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never did.

This is a very good wine. The nose has some musty ancient feel to it. Some of this quality comes through in the middle. The finish is quite pleasant.

This wine starts off with an attractive nose containing spices and a touch of oak. The middle is tight and there is plenty of tannin. The finish is a touch abrasive and short lived.

No Decant. Dark Garnet. Might have mistaken the nose and front pallet for a syrah but the pepper assault mid pallet and finish revealed the true nature of this varietal. Mean spirited zin, simply lovely. Outstanding wine. - vcb

I had trouble finding any faults in this wine. It was very much like the winery described it. Something about blackberry pie with a cinnamon crust and vanilla ice cream on top. I could not find those word on my own but do say it was like a marvelous dessert. I never knew it could be so good. I detected no acidity and no alcohol even though it was an incredible 16.5%. It wasn't sweet but it was absolutely scrumptious! Extraordinary wine. -bmb

No Decant. Purple/Red. Eucalyptus and glycerin, a tad green with evidence of alcohol and campfire smoke. Slight vanilla front, ripe fruit mid pallet and finally a soft pleasant finish. This is a very good to excellent wine. - vcb

No decant. Somewhat muted nose, faint hint of smoke. Fruity pallet with a long finish which seems to build steam near the end. An excellent Chilean cab and for the price a great deal. - vcb

Grass and or hay on the nose. Rubber in the mouth. Both very interesting qualities but uncomfortable together. -bmb

No decant. Brickish in color. Aged nose, caramel? Outstanding on the pallet. Couldn't help but giggle like a school girl while drinking it. It was a treasure. Seemed pretty well aged, might want to drink 'em up now. - vance

No decant. Very good. This multi-vintage syrah is delicious. Glycerin and faint vanilla on the nose and pallet. Yummy fruit, quite satisfying finish although short. - vance

This has an initial spicy and sour or chemical nose which improves after time. Firm on and over the edges of the tongue with some grit. There is a faint familiar vegetable character towards the end. The finish has content but no significant EOP. I'm left unsatisfied. -bmb

Ruby red, very faint amber on the edges. Dark fruit & mild tobacco? wood perhaps on the nose. Seemingly balanced on the tongue, short but pleasant finish. Somewhat chewy. A 'Good' wine. - vance

Although full bodied with some fruit and dark colour it lacks complexity. Subdued nose in this vintage. -vcb

Pleasant nose, light body. Small and mild finish. Not a bad wine but not very memorable either. Average.

All-around great wine. A lot of action on the nose, warm and intense front and middle with a pleasant finish which lasts and brings you back for more. At $10 this is a no-brainer.

It's like opening a jar of jam. Heavy on the finish and long lasting.
