Lovely Barberesco. Medium body with ruby red color and slightly brownish tinge on the rims. Full expression of chocolate, expresso, and earthy qualities. Still fruit forward with cherries and raspberries. Drinking beautifully right now.

The wine is an intense dark ruby color. The nose is flagrant with floral, fruit and spice. The wine has good amount acid. The tannins have subsided and are soft and velvety. The wine is very jammy, with lots of fruit and can give it an aspect of sweetness, but it is completely dry. Enjoyed this wine and would buy again.

I have not had much Pinot Noirs from New Zealand and so I was very impressed with this wine. Was a light ruby red in color and the nose had pleasant aromas of strawberries and jam. The taste was light and smooth with very little tannis and very light acidity. Hints of fruit also. Very light soft finish.

First glass right after opening was not great. But after an hour of decanting this wine was amazing. The color was a brownish, red, showing some aging of the wine. The nose had hints of fruit and slight vanilla. The taste was very dry on first tasting almost like a lemon burst in my mouth. But the glass after decanting was extremely well balanced and was very pleasantly surprised. I do not drink a lot a of Grenache, but after this bottle I will definitely explore more. The mouth was full of tannins and light acidity. The fruit levels of the wine had dropped quite substantially compared to previous tasters, but still pleasant for the palette. Really nice wine

This Vineyard never disappoints me. I have a great fondness for Chappellet and often times becomes my go to wine. Very deep in color, ruby. The nose had spice, fruit and great elegance. The wine was velvety and smooth but still had tannins and acid. Traces of blueberries and rasberries and vanilla. Really enjoyed this wine. Will be great for many years to come.

Had this at Aureole in NYC last night. Had a big nose. Wonderful hints of fruit and spice. Lovely finish. Just the perfect balance of fruit, tannis, and acid. Really enjoyed and would highly recommend. Amazing price point for this type of wine, paid $60 at restaurant but just bought it for $20 at a local wine shop. The wine made our dinner all the more memorable.. Will be serving over Thanksgiving.

This wine had a great nose with blackberries, vanilla and hints of cinnamon. We let it decant for a an hour, I thought the wine had too much oak and heat(acid). It had some tannins as well. Overall the wine was OK, but a little too oaky and acidic for my palate.

Not a big white drinker, but Chappellet being my favorite Napa Vineyard I gave this a try. I enjoyed the wine, was buttery and a had full, luscious creaminess to it. The wine had a light oakiness to it, but I do not have much to compare it too, since I am not a big Chardonnay drinker. I enjoyed this wine on a terribly hot summer day, and was very pleased that I tried expanding my palate.

This wine struck as me as unusually different and of course I saw the slight blend of Syrah in the mix. What a nice surprise. I love my Syrah's so to have it blended it with a cab made me so biased in favor of this wine. This wine had an intensely dark ruby color. This wine was intense, with a good balance. I enjoyed the soft tannins, possibly from the Syrah and the fruits were prominent but not overpowering. The wine is drinking well. Had a long luscious finish. Highly recommend, drinking well now.

Really enjoyed this wine. Very Bordeaux like. But feel like I drank too early. Will be lovely in another few years. The nose was earthly and even hints of leather after a few more swirls the vanilla, cherries and currants were coming through. Had great complexities and balance. Definitely still a lot of tannins. Will age very nicely. Will put away my other bottles for a few years.
