Spicy, bit of a zing on/under the tongue. Bright red fruit in front of a traditional body and a light barnyard. Simple, not much on the finish. Needs food; not a sipper.

Very good value. Nicely integrated. The tiniest bit of excess acidity. Lovely tannins. Punching well above its weight. I almost gave it a 90.

Excellent Amarone. Wonderful harmonious balance of raisin, acidity, rich complex flavour centre even though I had difficulty dissecting the complexity. Very glad I still have one more...

Agreed, lovely raspberrie/strawberry notes, nice yeast in the right glass, sweet/acidity balance leaning to sweet. Nice bottle, just a smidge shy of very nice.

From reading the other reviews I think I drank this port long before its time. Young, tight, lacking that integration and elegance that I expect from TF. Even sitting in a glass for more than a day did little to enhance it. I'm not being negative, just reflective of that probability that this one should have been saved for future enjoyment.

I'd like to try it again to reconfirm. Slightly underwhelmed. Good fruit, well made, a little something that unbalanced "the mix".

I think I am being conservative with a 93 compared to some of the stuff that attracts similar #'s from the "big published taster names". This is an enormously well balanced and refined wine. A wee bit dear but worth the $ vs other high priced "prizes". This is one of those wines which will evolve hour after hour and has progressed markedly over just the last couple of years of aging.

Great value. Terrific bright freshness, given from good acidity and balance. Marginal improvement with food. Thoroughly enjoyed as apperatif/cooking wine.

Beautiful gold and rich fragrance. Lovely balance only enhanced by food. Drunk with seafood - delish. Wonderful weight and balance, good fruit but not a mystery. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Like this pinot. Quite different than the traditional but still delicious reserved fruit, nice barnyard, and pretty good value.

Great value. I'll look for it again this fall. Well integrated and lovely flavours. I think it is at it's best for only about an hour or two after decanting.

Initial impression not great, closed, limited, definitely not up to expections - Wow - after 4 hours of breathing and especially between 3 and 4 hours, the evolution was spectacular. Fruit overflowed in classic calcab fashion but with great refinement and balance. Great balance of tannins, acidity and flavours.

Decanted 2 hrs. Very very nice. Very smooth, lovely integration, might have benefited from just a touch more acidity to carry the heavy and delicious fruit flavour load.

Beautifully classic burgundy pinot with typically delicious Italian teroir. Needed to breath for an hour and a half for the "edge" to disipate. The acidity is a little over balance but we love this wine. It has how you say de edge, with delicious fruit and traditional terroir.

Yuuummy. The integration is outstanding and the flavour flows and flows. Next day, a little more subdued flavours but still outstanding.

Agree with pjaines -- over alcohol - not complex - definitely well balanced which is a compliment to many wines, great fruit flavour, but not inticate at all - would not re-buy for this price point

I'm not sure where the boundary between 'outstanding' and 'extraordinary' is but this wine has to be there. Incredible complexity, flavours within flavours - this may be more wine than my pallete is capable of appreciating. Absolutely delicious getting better and better as it was open in the decanter from 3 - 7 hours. Even the next morning, simply sitting open, unsealed, it was still awesome. I've never tasted fruit complexity like this before. Need to win the lottery so I can drink it all the time - lol.
