Very hot, even after aeration & over an hour in the decanter. Fair with food - terrible without.

Aerated & decanted for about an hour. Excellent with steak. Even better about an hour after dinner with dark chocolate brownies. Fairly typical of a Ty wine - big, bold and fruity. A bit more spice than some past Ty offerings, but very well balanced and very smooth. Highly recommended.

Aerated and decanted for about 2 hours. Sitll a bit hot on the finish, but smoothed out with food over time.

Ran through the Vinturi and decanted about 1/2 hour, then drank with beef & noodles and grilled jalapeños. Very fruity and delicious. Drinking very well now.

Needs more time in the bottle or significant decanting time. Drank after running through the Vinturi, but still has a very harsh finish.

Very smooth. Decanted 2 hours and it was wonderful with a steak. Very full bodied for a Merlot.

Absolutely terrible. Too sweet. Precious few bubbles. If you buy some of this before reading the reviews (as, unfortunately, I did,) go buy some orange juice to make mimosa's with it.....

This has developed nicely over time. Decanted and let it sit for about an hour. Then perfect with a steak dinner.

Not my favorite. Strong after-taste. Kind of a vegetable type of flavor.

Nice smooth wine. Dark color, rich flavor. We ran it through a Vinturi and decanted for about 30 minutes. Had it with a very simple cheeseburger & fries and it was a great match.

Nothing special. Inoffensive. Light, fruity, dry, mild. Would probably make good mimosa's.

Decanted about 2 hours & served with Roast Beef & Potatoes in mushroom gravy. Good, but not up to the high standards of the 2005 Field Blend or some of the other Ty Caton favorites. Less fruit forward & interesting than the usual Ty.

You absolutely, positively need to give this at least an hour in the decanter before drinking it. Straight out of the bottle, the vegetable (green pepper according to CH and one of my friends) taste is overwhelming. Give it some time & pair it with food and this is an adequate, not great, wine.

Still very good, but I think this is going on the "drink soon" list - seems just a bit less wonderful than the last few bottles. A bit more muted flavor - not the usual very fruit forward taste. (Of course, some people may prefer it this way...)

Not as good as Field Blend (2005 edition) but still young. Decanted for about 40 minutes. It was smooth and well balanced, but seemed to be lacking a certain fullness that made FB great.

Not the big bold taste that Parker prefers - more subtle at this time. It will be very interesting to see how this wine develops.

Once again, started out kind of rough, but really mellowed out after about 2-3 hours of decanting. Beautiful balance after that.
