I had it last night. At first, I was significantly underwhelmed. But after about an hour in the glass, some of the nuances started to show up. Flavors I don’t normally find in white. Very interesting.

Lackluster wine. Clean and auster are the only thing I can say. Nothing subtle or haunting. Just plain "meh." Based on the hype. very disappointed.

What a wine! So much depth. I'm not sure you can find a better Sauternes. The nose was mango, honey, honeycomb, and lemon curd. The acid level was perfect. Giving you the mouthfeel you want in a Sauternes without any cloying. The body mimicked the nose. The balance was perfect. I'm so glad I have 11 more bottles of this to enjoy over the next 20+ years.

What a beautiful wine. Drank with Vito and Nancy over chocolate, parmesan, and steak. So many layers. Leather, earth, mushroom, forest floor, soy, worcestershire sauce. Decanted for 2 hours and then drank over 3 hours. it continued to nicely evolve the whole time. Sad this was my last and only bottle. It's drinking perfectly but is far from the end of its life.

I really loved this wine. Pale color. Very tart red cherry with a haunting pinot nose I love. Cola, earth, mushrooms, lingering finish. Got better after 2-3 hours.

What a great wine! Brought it to my blind tasting group. Opened the bottle at 9am. Decanted at 6:30pm. Consumed it at 9pm. It was perfect. We all agreed that this was a world class wine. One taster thought I brought a bottle or Grange! The tannins were velvety smooth. The wine was totally in balance. While the alcohol was off the charts, it did not blow you away when it hit your mouth. We all agreed it will only get better over the next 10-15 years.

This needs time to open up.
Give it at least 60- 90 min in the glass.
Before that it is a little stemy.
But, wow this is great wine when it gets going.

This wine is sensational. It was a little closed on day one, but, by day 2 it had exploded. This is not as good as years past, but, it is still my referance standard for Zinfandel.

I think the critics got this one wrong. Lighter in color than years past, but, given time to open up this really sings. All kinds of great flavors on the nose and palate. We really loved it. Paired with homemade pizza with sweet sausage.

Had at these two mags at my Idaho birthday dinner. Opened and decanted 3 hours before and consumed over the next 3 hours. With 10 of us, this was just enough wine. Everyone loved it. it was the complete package. Nose, body and finish. Great fruit. Great structure. Don't have any specific TN, but, this is a great wine. There is still life left, but, why wait. it is great right now.
