Bought a bottle for New Year’s during a tour and tasting at the winery just outside Evora. Really delicious red blend with a lot of complexity. Dark red berry fruit, medium tannins. Drinkable now but this has a decade of interesting development ahead.

This is so well integrated now and truly exceptional. My comments from my first bottle still hold and I would have to think this still has several years of great sipping ahead if cellared properly.

Last bottle from this vintage and even better than the last one. A truly outstanding County pinot. This has a lot of life left in it.

Very nicely balanced and delicious. 70% Malbec, 30% Bonarda. Tannins are quite soft, good acidity, lots of dark fruit flavours.

Drinking very nicely right now. Could easily mistake the colour for an aged pinot. Mid weight and brimming with cherry and a bit of spice, moderate tannin, well balanced and integrated. Bodes well for all of my 15 Brunello's waiting to be opened.

Much less baked in oak than previous vintages I remember. Citrus, peach and nutty with some good acidity. Nicely balanced and in a nice place right now

Good QPR. Lots of acidity and fruitiness. Paired very well with spicy Thai.

Oxidized and fruit is spent. Cork looked fine. Saw another recent review saying the same so guessing this wine/vintage had a very short shelf life.

Doubt this gets any better than it is right now so break them out of the cellar. Exceptionally well balanced at the moment, and still holding all of the fruit flavours and a long finish.

Buttery, smoky, tropical with minerality and some salinity. Complex and beautifully elegant. Long finish with a full evolution across the palate. A wine that I wish I had access to a whole lot more of.

Damn delicious Chianti right in the zone. Short decant. Gorgeous colour. Lots of complexity, so well balanced, smooth, evolves in the glass and on the palate. Long finish that keeps you wanting more.

No indication at all of oxidation with this 8 years later. Pale, elegant, very Chablis like. Reliably one of the best chards made in this country vintage to vintage.

This is a really delicious Oregon pinot with that great combination of sweet and tart fruit all at the same time. Lots of depth and complexity. Elegant wine drinking well now, but certainly has the depth to cellar for at least another few years.

Probably not for every palate. A little bit funky, and with a bit of the dirty character that I like in some of the wines from Languedoc. Full bodied with present tannins.

My first ever taste of this varietal. Full bodied white with lots of acidity. Floral perfume on the nose. Mouthful of buttery pineapple with volcanic minearality.

Light for a Cali pinot. Cherry and cedar, drops off to a bit of a bitter finish and the fruit fades quickly. May have left it in the cellar a year or two too long.

A lot of complexity in this Chablis. Floral honey nose. A lot of depth and acidity on the palate, richness and depth. My only complaint is that after evolving for a long time in the mouth it suddenly moves to a bit of a bitter finish.

This is quite delicious as a summer wine. Low in alcohol at only 11%. Pours a deep and dark cherry red. Some tangy citrus on the nose. Light fiz on the palette, raspberry and blackberry. A nice hint of salinity that lightens the fruit and chilled a bit this is really quite refreshing.

Completely different profile than the 15 Stanners pinot. This spent 18 months in stainless and never saw wood. Much more full bodied than the barrel aged pinot. Mouthful of cherry and cranberry. Enjoyed it a lot.

There is a delicate complexity to this wine and it's particularly enjoyable to have a Bordeaux blend at only 13.5% ABV. Interesting floral notes, red berry fruit, and notes of cedar. Delicious.

Should have figured something was up with the generic label. This is probably the least interesting St. Juien I've ever tasted. No depth at all on the palate and shows none of the characteristics I would expect with a mature left bank Bordeaux. The label claims an 1855 Grand Cru estate?

Is this a good wine? Yes it certainly is. One of the better Cali pinots I've bought. Berry nose, hints of vanilla, bit of tobacco. Pronounced legs on the glass. Sour cherries, medium tannin, decent complexity, and a long soft finish. No over ripeness or over extraction as can be all too common with some of its cousins. Now the question - is this worth the price? Debatable. I certainly could have purchased equal quality Oregon pinots for half the price, and probably at a third of the price from some cool climate regions. And this is where I can't score this over 90 because if I look at the QPR I get 2 or 3 bottles of equal enjoyment from elsewhere. And that's what continues to shrink the Cali quantities in my cellar.

Beautiful colour - dark ruby to garnet. Nose of vanilla, sage, white pepper, and some blueberry/blackberry jam. Mouthful of long lasting creamy and buttery flavours, spices and decent tannins. Probably opened a bit early and will hold my second bottle from this vintage another 4-5 years at least.

My last one from this vintage. There is nothing you can't love about this wine if you appreciate fine chards. So much complexity, and just so well integrated now. I think this vintage probably still has a few years of fine drinking left if you have it well cellared.

This is a brute of a Chianti and certainly not within the profile of expectation for a Sangiovese. Tannic, dark and full bodied. Not sure any further aging will soften this before the fruit starts to fade. Needs to pair with something rich or with a steak.

My final bottle from this vintage. This is everything you could ever want from a cool climate chard and it is showing no sign of decline 9 years post vintage. I think this was the best bottle of what I had purchased. Acidity, minerality, buttery, lots of fruit, so well integrated and approachable. Put a Burgundy label on this and it would go for 3-4 times the price.

Ontario pinot from the first sip. Tart cherry and cranberry with a hint of cinnamon. Tannins are present but medium. Lots of acidity and some minerality. Nothing gained by aging this any further. Excellent QPR for an Ontario pinot

100% County fruit in a disaster vintage due to the late spring freeze that made chard scarce in most of the vineyards. All of the County 15's I've tasted are extraordinary as a result of the low yields. This is no exception. Typical low alcohol Hardie wine, oak treatment is light, minerality, acidity, fruit remains true to the terroir.

My last bottle from this vintage. Just a slight brown hue developing at the edges but this probably could still go another 2 or 3 years. Just a beautiful pinot period, not just for PEC. Easily one of the best wines ever made at this winery. Sour cherry, acidity, minerality, a bit of smoke, present but smooth tannins. Picture perfect PEC terroir. For a pinot lover there is nothing not to like about this.

This is a big, dark and intense Syrah based wine. Beautiful enticing nose of smoked meat and earthiness. Well integrated but constantly changing and evolving complex taste in the glass - salt and pepper, big dark fruit and berries, hints of vanilla and chocolate. I would say this is drinking at prime right now and probably won't benefit from any further aging.

Big wine, big tannins. 2nd bottle from this vintage and tannins have softened a bit in the last 2 years. Lots of fruit complexity here. Fig, dark berries and a some Mediterranean spiciness. Sagrantino isn't for everyone (especially if you want a red with smooth tannins) but this is a perfect wine for one of those rich winter Umbrian stews and takes me back to some of those small hillside village restaurants.

Extremely good and complex Oregon pinot that crosses between some of the more new world style pinots and a Cote de Nuits style burg. First hits the palate with rich cherries, but then there is a solid backing of tannins, minerality and smoky flavours as it finishes. I think this has lots of time left and probably could easily drink well until mid decade.

This is a delicious light and refreshing chard from Niagara. Complex with citrus and apple, minerality, good acidity. I'm not picking up on any wood influence so unsure if this is unoaked or lightly oaked. Probably the most Chablis like Ontario chard I've tasted.
