opened and decanted for 2 hours before dinner with friends. Wow - it was like a mouthful of blackberry jam - in a good way - with plenty of structure to balance out the fruit. Tabun’s had mellowed some given the age but were still present with a nice note of oak too. Medium finish. This will keep for a while longer.

Opened at a restaurant - decanted for 45 min at the table. Had a little bit of a musty/mildew note on the nose (cork was pretty dry) but the fundamental palate of the wine was quite good. Red fruit and especially plums come through with some oaky undertones. medium body and finish. Honestly I think this is maybe 18-24 mos past it’s prime, but still pretty tasty. If you have any 2002, now is the time to drink up!

375ml bottle. We are neighbors of the owners and got this when they first started selling their wines. Its tremendous. Beautiful plummy fruit on the nose and excellent balance of blueberry and plums and prunes on the palate backed by nice wood notes and plenty of body. This scan keep going in the bottle for a while.

Nice Pinot with medium body and good balance of fruit and acid. Ripe red fruit - plums in particular - coming through with some spicy notes as well.

Drinking beautifully. Fairly closed nose on opening, with some fruit coming through. Decanted for an hour. Really well balanced on the palate, with strong presence of dark fruit and wood. Good long finish. This wine in right in its prime.

enjoyed this wine a lot. Upon opening, nice fruity bouquet but it Was pretty rough on the palatte coming out of the bottle. After about 30 minutes in our glasses, it opened up nicely with a lot of fruit, wood in the back and a long-ish finish. I also tasted some tobacco notes and some spice too. Nice bottle. Glad I have some more!

This bottle was perhaps a bit past its prime with fruit having receded a bit too far. However, we thought it was well balanced between fruit and wood. Nice silky mouth feel and decent finish, with both fruit and wood notes carrying through. There was an alcohol "hotness" but not enough to derail a nice wine. Wish I had opened it 12-18 months sooner. Had it with roast beef tenderloin which was a nice combination.

Nice wine - drank it at just the right time. Well structured with a good balance of tobacco and fruit flavors. Fairly long finish. Bummed this is my last bottle...

Nice light pinot. Nice fruity palate. Went well with pan seared chicken dinner. Now's the time to drink this.

Has turned. Nose was actually OK, but really strong vinegar-y flavors.

Drank really nicely. Soft and smooth. Nice fruit notes and a long nice finish. Really soft and refined. Looking forward to drinking the other bottles I have.

I have really enjoyed this wine in the past -- this was the last of several bottles we've had in the past couple of years. I don't know if it was the order in which we drank this, but it was all fruit and not much else. Massive jammy, strawberry and red licorice flavors. Not bad in and of themselves, but I expect more nuance and depth from a Zin in general, and from this wine maker and vintage in the past. Not bad, but not everything I was hoping for either.

Was one of several wines opened at a restaurant for new years eve dinner and was the consensus favorite of all the people at our table. This wine was showing great balance between lovely raspberry notes and some black pepper and oaky wood on the finish. I'm glad I have more bottles of this wine!

Fairly alcoholic nose on opening. Let sit in the glass for about 30 min and the bouquet softened with nice berry notes. The wine was lighter on the palate than I expected with decent fruit, but nice body. It had a very silky texture as one would expect from a 13y.o. wine. Finish was decent, but not overly long with a some nice oak notes. Overall quite nice (especially when we grilled up some NY strip steaks), but honestly, I was a little disappointed it wasn't bigger and more balanced. 3 bottles left - I'm thinking I need to drink them sooner than later.

Unbelievable raspberry, jammy nose and flavors. I wish there was more structure behind the fruit, but its a very tasty wine. Glad I have another bottle left!

Nice wine for the money - nothing really stood out about it (tasted at a "wines from Spanish-speaking countries" event) - soft and basic was the theme of most tasters comments. But hard to argue with it for <$15.

Tasted at a "wines from Spanish-speaking countries" tasting. This was the blind "mystery" bottle. Almost everyone enjoyed this wine - nice open nose with fruit and some spice. The host (me) tasted right upon opening and the wine was very tight and closed. It sat in a decanter for 2 hours and upon pouring, flavors had opened up with terrific dark cherry and tobacco leaf flavors. When compared with an Argentinian Malbec (Terra Rosa), this was definitely preferred for its deeper fruit and bigger body. Really enjoyable bottle of wine.

Tasted at a wine tasting of wines from Spanish speaking countries. Very popular among participants. WHile nose was nothing to speak of, attendees noted a spiciness and full body that was appealing. Nice fruit and well balanced tannin made this a winner - especially for <$12.

For $7.99 not a bad, light sparkling wine. Definite green apple and mineral notes. Would definitely buy again for a light treat on a summer evening.

Drank at a wine tasting of wines from Spanish speaking countries. Got generally positive reviews with participants noting it had good body and tannin. Tight nose on opening but it opened up after an hour or so. General consensus was it was a decent table wine.

First review on CT! Used the drink now report and remembered I had this wine. Upon opening a very fruity nose with clove. First tasting had very jammy, raspberry fruit, but little else. Decanted for 90 min., and it smoothed out with nice berry fruit and chocolate flavors. Tasted much more balanced after decanting, though probably past its prime. Glad I opened it now!
