Popped and poured. Great nose with a fresh bouquet. Tannins are chewy on the finish. Good balance. Think the fruit will open up with a little more air or time in the bottle.

I saved a few of these to let sit and wish I had saved more. Drinking beautifully now. Tannins have softened. More balanced. All bright cherry fruit on the front. The rest will be gone soon!

Deep, dark color. Threw a ton of sediment, very fine grainy sediment. Had more structure and balance than most Cal cabs in this price range with more reserved fruit. Very good.

At first the wine is closed with tastes of oak dominating and the acidity out of balance. Two hours of decanting revealed softer fruits on the palate of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. Finish is still oak but it doesn't dominate like it did after the pop and pour. Suggest 3 hours of decanting or several years of cellaring. Should produce and please given enough time.

This is a really nice wine. Tastes young and rounds out nicely after an hour or so in the bottle. Fruit is bright but not jammy. Chewy tannins but not overpowering. Peppery finish. Great daily drinker.

This is delicious! Great nose. Hits you with blackberry, ripe cherry and oak. Tannins are structured and finish off with pepper and spice. Will be even better in a couple of years. Great QPR.

Blackberry, chocolate, licorice and pepper. Strong but smooth. Finish continues to build.

Bright fruit with blackberry, vanilla and spice. Layer of slight oak and tannins coats the mouth with pepper on the finish.

Great nose of fruit and hints of mint. Big fruit of blackberry and currant with chewy licorice yields to a rush of pepper on the finish. Gets chewier after some open bottle time.

Good fruit. Bright and blackberry. Smooth but firm tannins. Pretty good for $25, but would be a great deal at $15. If I paid full retail I'd be disappointed.

Dark purple almost black. Straight out of the bottle has blackberry, smoke and a hint of fruit. The wine is smooth with tannins and oak in the background. Should give way to fruit after it warms up and gets some air. Should hold up for several more years.

Very closed. Needs serious decanting to open up. After a few hours it was better. Will try again tomorrow.
