Incredible fruit quality after 10 years! Field blends also make the difference and the complexity rocks!

Either too young and the oak could not have been absorbed or simply too oaky and the grape characetristics completely hidden and not present.

Do not fully trust all the drinking widows present here which were telling to drink this wine by 2014. I opened the bottle on Saturday, decanted for 2 hrs and it is a real masterpoiece. No trace of oxidation, wax and wild honey in the nose, mid dark colour plus still lots of minerality which is a benchmark here. Beautiful salty finish. Great wine!!

Time was defenetely not on the wine's side. No more fruits, just tertiary notes but also weak, I guess there was no enough structure to defend the wine. Correct acidity, quite long finish but weak.

At this point in time the wine did not give me any positive feeling. Oak, oak and a bit of oak. Only. I doubt it would be better in few years as the fruit almost not present.

I do not understand the two other ratings so mine is a bit exagerrated to raise the average as the wine is worth it. Fair rating is 91-92 as it expresses fully the terroir and the variety with the richness of black fruits and spices plus great remains of fermentation in beton tanks! Great wine!!!! I know it ios difficult for winedrinkers to understand natuatl winemaking without all this "make-up" which in fact makes all wines taste the same and being "puppies" of Mr Parker or Suckling:-)

Better than some brunellos! Dense, fresh (yes! still fresh) and not destroyed by the oak. I think that this is due to incredible fruit quality.

Kept much too long, I think that still 3 years back it would had been the best. Now the nose only with tertiary notes of liquor or candized fruits. However the palate still fresh and light. Without smelling I would not mind:)

Not my style at all!! Heavy, juicy, licking with liquor, strong and heavy. Probably this has been due to the 09 vintage but now I know I can donate all my 09 bottles.

Great wine tasting more like good Burgundy Village PN than Gamay! Natural like winemaking huge bonus. Fruit driven and also terroir shows its minerality. Great to drik now.

Either my bottle was faulted or the wine jas this little tca note that annoys. Have read similar opinions so far and it confirms so.

Surprisingly fresh and fruity, especially on the palate. The nose full of tertiary notes of leather, tobacco and musk. Still some years ahead of it despite the vintage.

Great wine! Can be drunk today but also years ahead of it. Nose and color reminded me some great traditional brunellos! Then the palate with lots of tannins, huge grip of it moved me to nabbiolo land. Fantastic wine with the emotions of 50€ wine for the 1/3 of that.

I felt like the wine would have lost its all body and structure. Nice nose, with red fruits but the palate remained weak with some acidity.

I would say - just in time. The wine with lots of tertiary notes in the nose after 4 hours of decanting. Only the day after, it evolved to some red fruits in sugar (cherry in liquor). The palate is balanced with a little dominant of acidity but this does not disturb much. The next day all smoother and silkier. Maybe this is the solution - to drink bottles after 24 hours... I would not keep it longer though.

Too much evolution, fruit has almost gone, the structure did not manage these 11 years. Should have opened this bottle 4-5 years back.

According to CT this has been behind its drinking window but this was not true. The nose contains almost no tertiary notes! Fresh, fruity and based on great, fruit driven tannins which preserved the wine wonderfuly!

Lots of black fruits and pepper in the nose. Powerful, bit reductive but ok. More Australian shiraz style as for the concentration and purity than syrah we know from FR for example.

Very fair BdM, not excellent but not bad, just correct from its beginning to its end (finish). Fresh in the nose, smells younger than it is, not exaggerated extraction, could be more tanninc though. Still few years ahead.

Another attempt to the second bottle I had bought and the result the same. Dead wine already. It is a pity as this was the most expensive one when visiting cellars and buying wines there in Georgia

Needed 3 hours to open up. After opening very strong aromas of tobacco and leather, no fruits. After these 3 hours all turned around, the fruit came up, lots of matured or candied cherries, fruit gelly. Great wine for the price but I would not keep that vintage longer.

I really tried to find something in the wine but no... this is already after its peak or simply does not age well. The nose is promising, apricot, quince, wax... and then... nothing else on palate... annoying dried tannins, lack of the body.... I thought that the bottle was faulted but no... he wine is just weak.... and the most expensive during my trip to Georgia last year. Probably because all this stories around the monastery, etc... marketing:-( There are plenty of better bottles for 1/4 price in Georgia

Surprisingly fresh and with lots of fruit remaining after that long time in a bottle. However lots of oak covers grape characteristics but with culture and it is not exaggerated. It was too expensive for the quality but at that time many years ago I was just the tourist to whom they sold the fame of the region:):)

Absolutely not my story however in its style this is great wine as the "Parker's Puppy", full of jam, sweetness, polished tannins and alcohol. On the nose I could not say anything about the grape characteristics, it has so much make up. However for the style lovers who do not search for terroir or grape depth, this is the winner.

Decanted for 4 hours prior to drinkung but it was too less. Strong tertiary notes of earth and leather in the nose, palate rather missed fruit, very medium acidity, some pleasure due to tannins nicely soft. I left the half of the bottle for next day and after 30 hours it finally opened and I enjoyed the fruit, the earthy notes were gone or hidden. The tannins were even better, silky. Much better harmony of all.

Probably kept too long however it should not taste that old at the age of 7. Only secondary and tertiary notes in the nose, lots of fried fruits like raspberry or overcooked red fruits. Impression of overheated wine or "tired". Bit too high alco - 14%

Still very fresh for its age, the more that this is the grape that does not often like to be fresh at its 6. The nose bit hidden with some wax and honey, some flowers but the palate explodes with fat and texture, full bodied with medium acidity. Great wine!!

For first two three hours some annoying notes of soya souce in the nose but afterwards it opens beautifully and shows the best of what CabFranc can offer. Fruity with black ones and already polished tannins. Tastes younger than it is. Will keep another bottle for another year or two.

Open very slowly but finally nice black fruits come up, no or very little tertiary notes, the oak firmly present. Feels like missing good concentration, like the fruit was not perfectly matured or simply not the best quality as there are no green notes too.

Another good example to sustain the theory that it is better to have 2-3 bottles of RdM instead of a bottle of BdM. It has everything what I have expected plus very good concentration and freshness that is lacking sometimes in brunello. Great pleasure!

Very good balance pointed my attention at first, still some fresh fruits and nice acidity. Lots of time ahead but why to keep it? It can be fully enjoyed now with great combination of freshness and aging notes. Very strong competitor in its style.
