Raid the Braxton Cellar (Braxton Cellar - Libertyville IL): Small glass, brief note from memory. Rich and very concentrated with good depth, showing enough structure to retain balance and charm. I liked this considerably more tonight vs when tasted a month ago.

Tasted double blind from a bottle that had been opened the day before. Lots of ripe, meaty black fruit with moderate density made me think this was from Gevrey 1er. Clearly ripe but very charming and accessible, this 2009 is easy and balanced, with subtle structure coming through at the end.

11/2/14, 9:03 AM - I am bummed I missed this one as you are the reason I enjoy Alain Hudelot-Noellat wines now. I'll be looking for this one. Thanks for the notes.
