Ok wine, fruit is almost non-existent although some tannic structure remains. Unlikely to improve and may be past its prime. Very difficult to view this as a Grand Cru wine.
Actually labeled as Vincent Ravalt, maybe a different wine??

Early dark fruit on the nose quickly gave was to strong herbacious notes. Very pleasant but not much time left for this vintage.

Seemed overpriced based upon the tasting. Solid wine, low alcohol but might be asleep; fruit very subdued without and secondary or tertiary flavors evolved.

This bottle, last of six, was totally depleted(oxidized?). It had been carefully stored, horizontally, but the cork was dry, making me think it was a bad cork. Strangely there was no cork taint. The other five from this lot were fine. It’s almost as though this cork let oxygen in but was unable to absorb any fluid. Very strange.

Still retains a good bit of reduction which I’m guessing will resolve. It seemed to blow off as it was opened but I consider this to be a great wine.
Probably will wait another year before opening another bottle.

Seems to be aging gracefully and the wine is developing some nice body although the bright fruit is now subdued. Seems to be asleep at the moment. Will wait a couple of years before opening another.

I think this wine still needs time. The oak is strong and overwhelming the fruit.

This wine is sound asleep or dead. Hopefully I didn’t wait too long. Minimal nose and flavor, no bad spoiled flavors, just no flavor. I actually poured it down the drain…

The color was bright and the wine was tight, tannic, on the palate. I will wait a few years before opening another. The structure and acidity were solid but this wine needs to evolve in the bottle….

Outstanding, has lost some youthful freshness since a year ago but seems to have such great potential. Maybe the best Brunello I’ve ever tasted. Might wait a few years before drinking the next one.

Dusty tannins? Decanted but should have let it breath longer. Probably needs more time in the bottle or a longer decant.
