We opened this after a bottle of 13 mugneret ruchottes that needed more air and this really delivered. Was open at first pour. Lively nose and palate with tons of red fruit, slight spiced and good length. A very good wine. 2006's in general are drinking well now and this Fourrier confirmed that. with more air the 13 ruchottes did outshine it at the end.

Just another outstanding bottle. I dare say the two bottles I've had over the last week were nearly identical. Just electric and in perfect balance. The nose just continues to grow in the glass with a palate to match.
Outclassed a 2010 CCC I had on the 4th. Dare say a 100 point wine.

First pour as we dig in and its delicious but you can tell air in the glass will benefit it. The wine is lush without being too big. With more air you get slight hints of mint that I find less in more modern ramomet, white flowers, and subtle but complex minerality. Last sip is 8 after first opened and its regal. 96/97

the bottle variation or the transformation of this wine is mind boggling. Great color to start . Clear with slight green hue not golden in any way. The nose is clean with saline and stone hints. Reduction is present but mellowed. Palate is clean no age showing. Orchard fruit and lemon. Just delicious. 95/96

Dark fruited black and red cherry that doesn't overwhelm and has real depth and complexity. definitely in a secondary stage to me in this bottle. 2nd in the past couple of months and both very similar. The most complex amongst a line up of more youthful wine, 2019 Rousseau Chambertin and 2014 DRC Richebourg. 96

An accessible and captivating bottle that held its own vs 2017 drc rsv and a mag of 2007 Drouhin Echezeaux. Great aromatics with a nice finish with good + complexity. fruit is present but not over powering. really giving. I thought 17's had shut down a bit but definitely not these two wines.

just lights out. maybe not as powerful as I remember but still as pure and the nose just brings you in. The 1989 Jayer ech we had next to it was oakier and darker. The Chambertin permeates your nose and last on your palate but does this without force.

clearly in the secondary stage for my palate. Light and smooth fruit with a cherry backbone and stems still very present. A good to very good Echezeaux but lacking the depth of the best vintages. 92/93

Just lights out . a spectacular bottle. The intensity and tension is out of this world. Tropical notes not as present as in prior bottles. more classic notes. Had it next to the 14 meursault from coche which highlights how amazing the 14 coche are but also how incredible the perrieres and CC are. We had a side by side of the 14 and 15 CC the next day which was even at another level. 97/98
slightly over shadowed by a spectacular bottle of 2001 DRc Montrachet which was lights out.

I know people like to hate this vintage from coche but ive always been a fan. with air the wine balances out and gets into more focus. more tropical fruit in comparison to prior bottles. good minerality and cut. lingers a bit more on the back palate. Had it next to a 2014 Pierre Morey Batard Montrachet and it outshined it.

Just lights out. So open and giving at this point. The fruit and palate are are seamless. I do believe this wine has another gear but its pretty perfect right now. Dominated a night that included 10 rousseau beze, Mugnier musigny and roumier Bonnes mares. 96/97

in flight with the 14 and 15 as well. 15 was drinking a lot older in my opinion. 10 and 14 both had great minerality with the 2010 being a bit more complex. More giving in comparison to a taut 14 that needs time. Both delicious but I prefer the 10 slightly more on this night. 95/96

THis wine continues to improve with time and air. The profound tartness is more integrated and not as searing. just great balance from the acidity and tension. A long finish that stays and remains on. the back palate. Just delicious 94/95. 2011 Coche wines are just in a special place. tied for wine of the night in the following line up 2009 Selosse, 2019 DRC Corton charlemagne, 2016 liger clos du chateau, 17 liger vosne and 2005 mugneret clos vougeot. just outstanding

what a difference a bottle makes.This bottle was clean as a whistle. Wine shows not sign of aging in color, nose or palate. The wine is lush but not ripe and not rich in a borderline oxidative state. Mint, eucalyptus, oak and overall balance. just delicious. 95/96
This bottle had at least another 10 to 15 yrs.
who knows what the next one will show.

Showing its age gracefully in light of the time period. The ripeness and richness are both very present. A bit honeyed but not in an overwhelming way. Though not a particularly long finish the wine remains present. Don't get the sense air or age will coax more out. drank over 3 hours. 93/94

just lights out. As usual KR522 note will be more eloquent. Had this next to a flight of 2010 and 2015 ramonet montrachet. Those were both decanted which may have impacted our thoughts. However I drank the 12 Coche over the course of 4 hours and the arch of the wine was special. That intensity and power is still there but again with air the matchstick and flint become more prevalent. I could see why some would decant but the time in the glass allows one to witness the wine unfurl itself. The journey allows one to enjoy all the different sensations.97/98
Showing a touch more depth and substance in comparison to the 11 enjoyed 6 weeks ago.

Let this breath for about 30 minutes before pouring. This bottle was even better in comparison to the bottles I've had in the past year. Still dark fruited and smooth but this bottle had more depth to it. As others have noted elegant with a bit of stank. 92/93

Side by side to 01 Conti. I expected the 07 to be open for business but it remaining restrained for the 1rst hour easily. With more air the nose of red and black fruited berries becomes more noticeable. In comparison the 2001 is more open and captivating at first. They are both ethereal but the 01 is lighter , fresher and dare say more ethereal. The 07 picks up weight and becomes a bit more haunting I dare say. Overall the 01 was the better wine but the 07 appears to be hiding more. Hope I get to experience it again.

reticent at first and a demur nose. Lemon is the most present. we decide to let it sit and aerate. waited another 3 hours plus to return to it. I dare say close to perfect. both nose and palate showing more depth and delineation. Lemon recedes and mint, orchard fruit and some salinity dominate. juicy, tasty and complex.

I really enjoyed this bottle and so did everybody else at dinner. Didn't show young, burly and tight as I expected. Brooding fruit but also ethereal. Minerality really shines and gives is breadth. Both of 13's I've had this week, Rousseau Chambertin, have showed well. Dare say the roumier Bm showed slightly better to me. Very good
