Much better this time. Decanted for 30 mins. All of the classic Bordeaux notes had come together beautifully.

Decanted for 2 hours. Excellent. In a sweet spot and almost perfect right now.

I would have to say that this was a bit disappointing. Decanted for 2 hrs prior to drinking. No real depth just exceptionally average. 2 bottles remain. Hoping for more with those.

In the drinking window where this wine could not have been better. Outstanding!

See the potential but way too early for drinking. Would suggest another 3-4 years minimum.

Structure still solid but fruit and nuisance seemed muted.

Pleasant but not very interesting. The highlight is that its an '09 Bordeaux for $11.

Went to a California Cab-themed dinner and this was easily the Wine of the Night. Opened (but did not decant) for about 45 minutes. Initially had a slight bit of a vegetal funk but that was gone quickly. What remained was a powerful wine that was a perfect melding of fruit and tannins, with a finish that lasted for almost a minute. The win was such a favorite on this night, that included recent vintages from Caymus (regular bottling and SS) and Cht Montelena,, that people immediately started wondering if it was still possible to purchase.

Run! Don't walk... to get this wine before its gone. Yes the 04 Vintage is just average but nothing about the 04 Lascombes is. We opened it at a little birthday dinner the other night and if not for a terrific showing by the 07 Caymus SS, the Lascombes would have been the WOTN. Remember that in one of the WA's Executive Wine Seminars, which included all of the 04 1st Growths and a superstar lineup, this wine received 11 of 16 First Place votes.

Decanted for 2 hours before serving. It was big and powerful with its fruit battling thru the brawn to be tasted... Based on RP's review, everyone at the dinner thought is was the 1999 Palmer (according to RP, one of the best Palmer's ever). At $50/bottle, this has to be one of the real values of this decade in Bordeaux.

Bottle felt off. Don't think it was corked but it was definitely without much fruit. Disappointing to say the least.

Took to Wine Dinner in New York and sadly it was corked. Even the joke "Big Papi" wine (made from real grapes!) was better than this. Disappointing.

Outstanding. Drinking great. Just an amazing, velvety-like texture. Beautiful integration of the fruit. Outstanding structure. As always, wish I had more.

Not too much to write home about here. At first it seemed to have a little power but then quickly faded. Not bad but not memorable either.

This was very very good. I knew RP gave it a nice number but didn't think I'd like it. I was wrong. Glad I bought a 6 pack of this.

This was absolutely amazing. I bought a case of the '55 Mouton to open every year on my birthday. The last couple of bottles started weakening in the glass relatively quickly after opening. But the one I opened for my 50th birthday celebration last night (actually birthday was in Nov) was amazing in that after an hour of opening, it was still tight. This wine could go for another 50 years, it still had that much structure and power. Wow.

Brought bottle to dinner with friends. No hardcore wine folks but everyone loved it. Wonderful fruit, not over-powering tannins but definately present... and a great finish that screamed quality bordeaux.

Did not like this at all. Perhaps because it followed a very nice '88 Bordeaux but it tasted green and simply was unappealing. 83

Lovely upon opening... nice fruit and just the right amount of Bordeaux "dirt" in the tasting. However, faded quickly. I have 5 more bottles. I won't wait much longer to consume. 91 points

Tried this at the Wine Club and immediate purchased a case. Incredible fruit on the attack with a finish that lasted, easily, for several minutes. Amazing for the price (about $35 a bottle).

Wonderful bouquet. Sweet, almost minty. Amazing. Very smooth. Nice texture but not overpowering. Nice finish.
