2/23/23, 8:27 AM - RJANDBGIf you are interested in getting more of this wine, visit TCWC.com. This is an auction site that has three bottles of this wine with a present auction price of $25/bottle plus the buyers fee (20%) and tax (8%) plus shipping. if you figure $35/bottle all in, you may want to bid on the wine. If you get out bit, the next higher bid would raise the cost to $38.33/bottle. I put a bid on a single bottle of this to give it a try. If you go to the site hit the auction button and sort low to high price with 100 items per page. It's about 2/3 of the way down the 4th page.Good luckBooger
2/13/23, 11:25 AM - DanielI read your comment. If you check out lastbottlewines.com you will find this on sale for $99/bottle while it lasts.
1/14/23, 10:55 AM - Mark1NPT/MarkI have built a cellar about 5 years ago and started collecting wines about 4 years ago. I saw your comment about the 2015 Whitehall Lane Cab and saw that you picked it up in a wine auction. I have never tried purchasing wine through an auction and am looking for any advice for a novice. Clearly getting good wine at a cheap price is very enticing. So here are a few questions I have if you are willing to help a rookie. Which auction sites do you use?Are their fees associated with joining any of these sites? What additional fees are there beyond the auction price? Is the shipping included in the price, or if not, what do they typically charge per bottle for shipping? Will they hold the wines until a desired ship date? (I wouldn't want wine shipped to me during hot months) Where/how do these sites acquire the wines, they auction? How do these sites gauge the quality of the storage of these wines? Have you ever been burned by purchasing auction wines?Any other advice or insights you might have?Booger
10/22/22, 8:46 AM - GooddummyJust saw this wine on Vivino for $39.99/bottle if you buy six, free shipping plus tax in case you are looking for more. I just received some myself but paid almost twice the price. I guess I am a Baddummy. Not many other comments and rating other than yours on this wine. Booger
8/24/22, 10:09 AM - RED FREDDYI have an opportunity to pick up a half dozen 1.5 L bottles of the 2015 Round Pound Rutherford for about $148. Based yours and other comments the wine looks to be a rock-solid Napa Cab. I am a little concerned that the Cellar Tracker says this wine's drinking window is between now and 2025. Any thoughts on this starting to run out of gas after that? Booger

8/24/22, 10:20 AM - WINO121I have an opportunity to pick up a half dozen 1.5 L bottles of the 2015 Round Pound Rutherford for about $148. Based yours and other comments the wine looks to be a rock-solid Napa Cab. I am a little concerned that the Cellar Tracker says this wine's drinking window is between now and 2025. Your comment indicated it would start running out of gas around 2023. Not sure if you even recall drinking this, but am curious if you can recall what gave you the impression that led to your 2023 end of best drinking window? Booger
12/12/21, 1:30 PM - SchiffyI have always been pretty much a Napa Cab/Italian Red guy, but I have a line on four bottles of this '14 Boars View for $50/bottle from a private estate liquidation.I have been looking for a really full bodied Pinot that might match up to a good cab. Any thoughts if this is the one a cab lover ought to give a try or does it have any of the fruits and tones of a good Italian to compare it to?Booger
12/12/21, 5:34 PM - SchiffyI am all the n based on your feedback. For $50!a bottle I figure I can’t go wrong. You are da’ man Schiffy!!!!!Put yourself in for a raise! Booger.
1/24/22, 4:04 PM - SchiffyMy deal for the 2014 Boars View fell through. However, I was able to purchase some of the 2016 on Vivino for about $100 a bottle. They are running a promo now that you can get 10% off the price. If you are interested in picking any up, this seems like a decent price for a good year of Boars' View pinot noir. Discount code is WNTR. It runs through Saturday.

9/19/21, 7:35 AM - WindsheerI have a line on the 2013 Jarvis Cab for about $108/bottle. I was curious about the Cellar Tracker drinkability between 2017 - 2023. Seems like a small window for a high end wine. Do you think this wine is going to start going downhill after 2023? Booger
9/21/21, 3:51 PM - WindsheerYour thinking agrees with everything I know about good wines. My guess is that Cellar Tracker just uses the composite of the members recommendations for drinkability. So if there are 1 or 2 recommendations for a shorter drinking window, the algorithm just makes the adjustment. Based on your comments, I will likely pick up a case of this red gold and drink up till 2030. Thank you!Booger
9/16/21, 10:42 AM - DBHave you tasted this wine again since 2019 and any other thoughts you have about it? I can pick it up for about $63/bottle, but you are the only tasting note on Cellar Tracker. Think it's a good price?Booger
6/25/21, 12:23 PM - RobmaticThis wine in on Last Bottle for $59 + Tax = $63. Is this a good price point for this wine in your opinion. Booger
4/7/21, 12:29 PM - D_RICHThat sounds a little pricey. I just checked VIVINO and they are selling the 2018 for &24.47. The seller is Yiannis. Yiannis Wine Shop charges no shipping and no sales tax. If you buy a case. For less than a case $27-28 sounds about right.
4/7/21, 2:02 PM - D_RICHI have not tried the 2018. You will have to compare the ratings and tasting notes to make that decision. I believe 2018 was a good vintage year in that area.
3/10/21, 12:39 PM - I have a chance to purchase this Amarone for about $57. Can you comment on what you paid for your bottle(s)?
3/12/21, 1:29 PM - AlexThanks for responding. Judging by your tasting note, it was a long night. I perused your cellar and you should consider adding some Amarone along with a few Brunello and Barolo. The Italians make some pretty good wine.
1/4/21, 2:21 PM - How long did you decant this wine?
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
