Not bad, probably had oak chips. A little light on acidity, but for the price it's decent.

Still has bright acidity. Well integrated, but needs food. This could sit in the bottle for while longer. Has an aroma of old wood that blows off.

Perhaps not as silky as its Italian relatives, this still impressive nebbiolo stands on its own as it carries smoke and blueberries on the aroma, firm tannins on the palate with a nice balance of acidity. Drinking well in 2014.

Fine everyday drinking, at this age though it needs to consumed once it's opened.

Probably the best wine that Missouri produces. Certainly one of the best native American cultivars. Still showing well, so it is certainly age-worthy.

A little hot. Alcohol overwhelms on the aroma. Blueberry on the palate. Will try again.

Great varietal character. Good for drinking by itself, perhaps not enough acidity for food. Jammy as expected, notes of cedar, green pepper, strawberry pie, some smoke, menthol, grape jelly. Aroma more interesting than the the palate, however.

Using the robot: The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Cranberry, and Raisin. It tastes like Red Currant, Prune, and Vanilla. The body is Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Overall, a good Merlot.

A lighter, delicate style, somewhat akin to a Pinot without the earth. Mellow tannins, still retaining a bright acidity for its age.

Very sweet, almost a desert wine. Could have been fermented longer and dryer. If I owned a restaurant, I would offer this to those people who ask for a 'sweet red', which I didn't know really existed. It's really just spiked grape juice, but more subtle and integrated than a punch with a spirit. Not sophisticated but fun to drink if you take for what it is.

Strangely sweet with loads of residual sugar. I'm willing to accept that this might be a completely different style to which I am unaccustomed: recognizably Pinot Noir, but was more like a punch or a juice, even a Concord grape wine.

Comparable to regional, lesser known Rieslings in the US, but lacking in acidity. An adult grape fruit punch.

Light smoke, faint berry notes, is that smoked paprika or the meal I cooked to go with the wine? Perhaps some blueberry on the palate, Faint oak, all around decent food wine.
