I’m glad I opened, it’s just passed it’s prime. Still vibrant with great acidity and fruit. The tannins were almost nonexistent which resulted in a short finish. Very drinkable.

One of my favorite WA whites. Floral and lush, it paired great with grilled halibut and asparagus

Special bottle purchased for our 20th anniversary last year. Decanted for an hour mainly to minimize sediment. Slight brown tinge on the edges to brick red in the center. Perfectly integrated and silky smooth. Plum and tobacco. It still had some grip to it that tells me it still has some life.

One of the best values in Washington wine right now. Rich, deep flavors. Absolutely gorgeous!

Dusting blackberry on the nose. Smoke, cherries, spice and oak on the palate; slight pause in the mid palate and then a gorgeous finish of tobacco, anise and balance acid. Great wine.

So incredibly balanced for a Malbec. Earthy with restrained dark fruits, hint of spice. Can't wait for the next release of this wine!

Solid QPR on this wine. Jammy fruits with a full mouthfeel. Not a lot of depth but very tasty.

Hedonistic and rich. Think chocolate covered cherries, not the gross overly sweet ones but nice tart cherries contrasted with dark chocolate, all rounded out with a vanilla spice finish. Had with smoked prime rib, but frankly it stood on it's own just fine.

This is the sweet spot for this wine. It's drinking really good. Fairly decadent with loads of vanilla and spice wrapped around dark fruits and figs. Quite oaky, if you aren't into that you may not like it.

Had this along side the '05. It was much more fruit forward but the finish was rough, it needed a longer decant.

Classic Boushey vineyard aromatics and flavors. Lots of smoky fruit, very full and plush, slightly over-oaked. Definately a food wine, stood up nicely to pasta carbonara.

Didn't like it upon opening. Very acidic and no finish. After breathing for a couple hours, it got significantly better. Acidity calmed down allowing the dark fruits to come out.

Opened prematurely, needs more time in the bottle. A lot of acidity up front, but did smooth out into a peppery finish.

Truly an exceptional wine. Fidelitas' most limited production wine. Deep, developed flavors. Bold fruit, but reigned in. Long lush finish.

All the components of a great carmenere. Acid, cherries, smoke, earth. Served this with Beet Salad with grapefruit and chevre. It complemented beautifully. I am glad I have another bottle.

Smooth balanced dessert wine. 9.6% residual sugar so it's fairly sweet. For me is it perfect, not too sweet to cover up the other flavors. Warm apricot, vanilla, and a little nutmeg at the end. Perfect dessert in itself.

Liquid velvet. Very different from other Cab Francs from WA. Not overly fruit dominate. Subtle fruit aromas interlaced with a slight vegetal quality. Fantastic mouthfeel. Great on it's own, but held it's own with the grilled T-Bone steak that I had with it.

Yum, yum yum. I am not an ice wine lover, usually just too sweet and syrupy for me. This 100% Chenin Blanc ice wine is like drinking a bowl of the the freshest apricots drizzled with honey. Yes, it's definitely a dessert wine, but there are other flavors going on other than sweet.

Lovely wine. Elegant and rich, a great expression of Walla Walla fruit. Dark fruits with a long finish with notes of licorice, black pepper and blackberry. Paired with a T-Bone steak and grilled onions and peppers.

Fairly mellow sangio. Still a bit of acid there, but it is an '05 so it has mellowed a bit. Nice full mouth-feel with slight raisin finish.

Dark, opaque purple in color. Quite a bit of sediment, so I poured it thru the Vinituri. Rich nose of dark fruits and vanilla. Structured with a long velvety finish. Savor this one.

Another solid offering from Charlie Hoppes. His Optu red blend is sourced from Columbia Valley, not Red Mt. where most of his grapes are sourced. Full rich nose with a slight earthy funk. Well balanced, full bodied mouthfeel.

There are smells of raspberry, blackberry, tobacco and smoke. It tasted like it smelled – smoky berries with a bit of pepper. This wine would be awesome with some BBQ ribs or smoked chicken.

The inaugural release of this wine for Fidelitas, a red blend all from Red Mountain grapes. On the nose – vanilla, cherry coke, pepper, floral, cherry yogurt, and grapefruit. Tart cherry, plum, and cedar explode off the palate.

Dark and brooding in color. Hints of cigar box, oak, dark fruits and slight dustiness on the nose. This wine grabs your palate immediately and takes it for a ride with a good amount of oak balanced with plum, cherry and chocolate. Seamless and balanced with an incredibly silky mouthfeel.

Soft floral nose with notes of caramel and earth. The taste had classic Champoux characteristics – smoke and earth, plus a wonderful rich berry component from the 20% Cab Franc.

Even after a 6 hour decant, the nose was still pretty closed up. There were hints of raspberry, marionberry, and anise on the nose. Tastes yielded pepper and tobacco. This wine was not the favorite during the tasting. However, it moved up the list as the evening progressed and with food. The consensus was that it was outstanding with fatty cheeses and the T-bone steak we served with dinner.

100% Cab all from one of the oldest vineyards in WA, Red Willow in Yakima Valley. A spectacular nose on this wine - vanilla, cardamom, perfume, Crème Brule, tobacco, and fig. An array of flavors with this wine including currant, pepper, fig and date. A very well balanced wine, with an excellent tannin structure that will make it a great keeper for a few years.

Popped & poured. This wine needed a bit of time to open up, a little tight at first. We had this with BBQ burgers, baked beans and chips. Paired very well. Full and rich with raspberry and slight smoke. Good finish. Interestingly, it paired very well with the salt & vinegar chips. The acidity stood up to them.

Popped & poured. Not much on the nose. However, this wine sang with food. We had chicken parmesan and the acid from the marinara was perfectly matched with the mellow acidity in the back end of this wine.
