Dry, botrytised delicious and curious. Minerally, with a long finish. The nose makes you think it will be sweet, but it is dry. Medium gold color gave away the fact that it wasn't a 'normal' fume! Need to seek out another.

Light golden, with some viscosity, medium, young nose of orange flower and citrus and lees.
Off-dry, high acid, low alcohol, medium plus palate with full body and soft citrus flavors. Long finish. Very nice, simple Riesling

Clean, light gold, pale rim, developing wine with medium flinty mineral and hay with some mellon, a touch of oak spices.
Dry, high acid, (light tannins?), full bodied, medium + alcohol, long finish thick. Minerality lingers.

Clear, deep purple, showing legs, with a clean pronounced youthful nose yielding black fruits, blackberry, blackcurrant, violet, pepper and some earthy notes. Palate is dry, high acid and high tannins, intense, medium alcohol, full bodied, with the black fruits coming trough for a long finish. Enjoyable not but will improve with some time as the tannins are approachable, but still grippy.

Purple with garnet rims, pronounced red currant nose, with underlying raspberry. Classical Chianti nose, though not complex. Tannins are light and the acids medium, pallet echos the currants and raspberry.

Light golden in color, with a light, fresh asparagus overlay to a lemon-lime base. The palate reflects this, and also gives a round, soft creamy mouth feel, with a medium finish and balanced acid, which is less than typical for CA Sav Blancs. Very enjoyable drinking wine.

Light, slightly citrusy, and melon, with a simple, medium bodied lemon, basic finish. Nothing special, but crisp enough to enjoy.

Classical Sancerre, lemon and mineral nose, crisp, yet soft pallet with hint of flintiness and a long, clean finish. We loved it.

OK, just back from Provence, drank our share of rosé, and I feel that this is as good as I found. Not out of this world, but really nice, raspberry, crisp, clean, medium length.

Dark golden, rich looking. Nose is very faint, primarily petrol and some citrus, but the palate is full, rich, balanced fresh, but not biting acidity. Pineapple, honey and pear. Very nice!

Pale straw, mineral, stone melon and green apple on the nose, even a hint of petrol developing. Palate is full, finish is long and luxurious and enforces all the smells but adds a strong strawberry element. Delicious and I want more. I couldn't go higher for two reasons, first, I haven't tasted many Spatlese, and secondly, I think the acid seemed a little low for the sweetness. A little residual left on my teeth and gums that I don't experience with other, even sweeter wines, Tokaji, Sauternes, etc.

Clean straw color, light nose with a touch of petrol, but no flowers or fruit. Palate seems a little sweet and lower acid than I expected. Fruity with a ripe apple and watermelon in the mid palate. Medium finish with a touch of lime.

Smooth, clean and long finish. A enjoyable Malbac. My notes are missing, but seem to remember slightly smokey, red & stewed fruits and medium tannins and acid. I have another bottle, so at least I can try it again!

Didn't think too much of this. Sold to me as a burgundy style, but hardly. Didn't even finish the bottle. Not bad, just simple, not too oaked Chardonnay.

Not as full in mouth as Sauternes, and not as complex as Royal Tokaji, still, this icewine is fuity/spicy, apricot and a touch of honey. Very smooth, and very long finish. Fun, just not as opulent, as some, but really, soooo goood.

Subtle, not powerful, but definately Rheinhessen Riesling. Dry, yet a soft, fruity round mouth, suggesting peachy honey, whiff of petrol, a clean finish, though not long.

Right, acid not up to the sweetness level, but great floral and fruit nose with apple, melon and a hint of grapefruit. Pallet reflects this, but adds more honey and that is where is stays. finish is fairly long, and there is acid, but not enough for true balance. Still, pretty pretty good.

pale yellow, medium intensity nose, similar to some chablis, with a scent of wet rock minerality, and a touch of stone fruit, and a little petrol! Palete is dry, but round and soft, with a lingering minerality that is nice. Nothing great, but more like a fruitlessly balanced wine. Good to wash down some food.

Strangely, this deep purple, medium to high acidity wine has low tannins and... green apple, musk and redcurrant aromas. Yes, seriously, a little apple. On the palate it is medium bodied with a medium finish. This is interesting, and I will look for other example of this varietal, even though it doesn't strike me as high quality.. Still, this wine is very pleasant and enjoyable. After this opened up a bit, I got some roasted meat or even some hot dog aromas, and the apple diminished, but not on the palate.

Nice ruby color, medium nose with red currant and some white pepper and a touch of woodiness. Pleasant. The pallet is a bit disappointing though. Dry, low acid, medium to high and lingering tannins without much fruit, in fact a bit flabby and empty on the mid and ending pallet. Cousin Phillips that I tasted a month or so ago was quite memorable, and I will go there again. I still have a Chardonnay from Bruno to try.

Light salmon color with aggressive bubbles. Inital toast, then strawberry nose, then a flood of green apple. But the toast isnt there much on confirmation Light, round moose and rather tart acid. Wish I was having with food, but I'll just enjoy it alone

Delicious!! Nose not too pronounced, just strawberry and currant, a touch of clove, but the round body and long, soft clove finish made this a very appealing bottle. I'm going to try and find another!!
Also, adjusted the entry as Les Chenes is not a 1er Cru, but they made this one taste like one.

Grabbed a couple more of these as they really seem nicely done for the price. Didn't remember the palate having such a distinct licorice finish, but it is really pronounced. Subtle apple/pear yielding to licorice. Very interesting. The body is very pleasant, round, medium.

deep, intense ruby color, fairly pronounced nose of black fruit, currant, vanilla, and cinnamon, but with a strange paint thinner finish. Palate is dry, medium somewhat muddy tannins, low acid, echoing black currant, but also some earthy, smoky, perhaps even resinous. Definitely have had better Grenache, but first try from this region.

garnet color, hints of red and black fruits, but more wet leaves, and mushroom and stewed fruits. Not detecting any wood. Palate is dry, medium to high acidity, low tannins, medium body and medium to long finish, but it's thin on the finish, confirming mushroom and stewed fruits, with some black pepper. 14.2%, which may explain the finish and not quite balanced.
