Nice claret but its not going to get any better. Not complicated. Decanted for about an hour which I think helped. Its a fine Tuesday night wine with Salmon.

This champagne is spectacular! Aging really well…light on the bubbles but nose and flavor were extraordinary. Total sublime. Jodi picked up butter but I picked up pear. I'm glad I have several more of these. Drank Jodi, Doug and Cindy Garland November 28, 2014.

Drank with Jodi, Doug and Cindy Garland with Cindy's unbelievable meatloaf and yams….November 28, 2014. Wine is ready to drink now. Smooth, no acidity…berries….a lighter CNP. Lovely wine.

Way too young yet but showing great aging potential. I'll sit for another 5 years. Lots of raspberry and a bit on the lighter side for a CNP. This will age gracefully and will be outstanding with patience.

A wonderful wine, full of smells and smooth taste. No tannins now. this wine is ready to drink. Its not a strong wine but has finesse. I couldn't keep my nose out of the glass. I kept coming with curry, which is a weird descriptor but it was wonderful The feel was light to solid and the taste was fruit that i couldn't place.....almost a cross of a blue/black/rass berry.

Outstanding wine with excellent structure. Another year in the bottle would not hurt at all. Still has some tannins but not a lot. Soft and cherry nose and wonderful fruit flavor...very french. Served with Roasted Chicken, a perfect match.

Loved this wine. Opened about 3-4 hours before drinking. nose very floral with lots of cherry. Color did not hint of being 11 years old. A medium bodied burgundy, on the palate it felt solid. The taste was wonderful burgundian cherry and fruit. This style is excellent and only 12% alcohol. Lovely wine with braised chicken in white wine and french mustard.

Opened this for about 2 hours prior. Excellent bordeaux....easy, smooth....not showing signs of aging....nothing particular stood out, but we all indicated how nice it was. Great value....glad I stuck this one in the cellar years ago. Probably approaching its peak so should be drunk over the next year.

An excellent value. Good color, shows no sign of aging. A bit light and thin, but well balanced. Should have opened it two hours before drinking....we opened and started with dinner. The second half of the bottle suddenly opened and improved a lot. Good berry flavors, not too strong of nose. I don't see this improving with further age so I'm going into the case now and over the next six months.

Very nice Merlot but was hoping for a little more. Not the wow factor, but did go well with a roasted prime rib.

Solid effort by one of my favorite CNPs. Could use a bit more cellar time but drank very well.

Another nice effort from this vineyard. I want to try this again though in 3 to 5 years.

Very rough, still acidic...didn't like it one bit.....after two hours it improved, but it's in the dumb stage right now. Won't drink another for a couple of years.

This still needs a bit of time. I believe it will age OK and should be better in 3 years or so.

This needs more time and I believe will be terrific in 5 years. A big wine, lots of fruit, a bit tanic right now. Did a side by side with an 01 Guigal CnP and clearly the Charvin was not yet ready. I bet in 5 or 7 years this will be a 94+.

Took this wine to a Pops Concert so did not ability to decant. Nice and earthy, loads of berry and fig. The second half of the bottle was wonderful as it evolved. Did a side by side with an 01 Charvin CnP and the Guigal was softer and smoother. (The Charvin I believe will evolve very well over the next 3-5 years.) But the Guigal is wonderful now and ready to enjoy. This is a perfect match with a leg of lamb. It worked well with Ribs, Brisket and Sausage.

I really like this wine and it continues improving with age. Used for xmas eve the second year in a row....lots of wonderful cherry overtones, nice nose, smooth finish. This was a great bargain Barolo.

Drank this again for xmas eve dinner (pasta sauce and meatballs) side by side by the Barolo of same vintage and winery. The Barbaresco seems to be improving with age and I believe will continue. The tannins are balancing out, nice light cherry tones. Good value. (However, it wasn't a fair fight along side the Barolo, which is drinking very well and opened up nicely after several hours.)

Drank on 5/17/07 with some baked Ziti and sausages. An OK wine and nice for a Wednesday night. I believe it will still benefit with some aging. Still a bit acidic and just never opened up. I did not decant but uncorked it 2 hours prior to dinner. Still tight at the end. I'd give it a solid 86+....still good value and it will improve some with age.

Unfortunately, I kept this wine 2 or 3 years too long. While drinkable, it's clearly past its prime and on the downward slope. I remember this wine as being lovely and full bodied, but not the case today. If you have any, drink up quickly as there isn't much left.

I just love this Champagne. Now it has a little age on it, it's wonderful. Truly a great bargain at $35 or so.

I had a very consistent experience that other members have shared. Wonderful granache tones...my wife and I really loved the nose. We did make a mistake by not having this with a dinner as in the past. It is a very food friendly wine and I just kept wishing I had a pork loin or a braised lamb shank with reduction sauce. This was a wonderful value at $20. I have 4 left and will try one each year around this time for the next 4 years. I would say 88-90.

This is a nice zin. Lots of berry flavors and toward the end almost stewed cherries (I love that). It's smoothed out and is like velvet. Perfect time to drink and I would not wait any longer.
