It's okay. Sweet. Nose of mocha, earthy spice and tobacco. What prevented me from really liking this is the body (or lack thereof)- very thin. Flavor is pretty standard for a merlot with that black cherry upfront and a nice chocolatey finish. Just wish it had more body.

This is decent! My first Virginia wine. It's very subtle and light, but has a really lovely finish that reminds me of freshly baked bread. This is a good $14 daily drinker for sure.

Very tannic. Very flat, very one dimensional. No complexity at all. Just black cherry/plum. Subtle but notable background flavor of green bell pepper. A little minerality. Probably won't be buying another one of these.

This is one of the worst "wines" I've ever had. Why is it so sweet? Why is it so dark and intense and yet no depth or tannin? Where is any conplexity or structure? I paid $20 for this. No one should pay more than $6.99 for this crap.

This was my first Amarone since having become a wine enthusiast, so I have no basis of comparison...but after reading about Amarones and the reviews for this one, I was underwhelmed and disappointed. It was lighter bodied than I expected and more acidic. The palate was decent, of fig and candied plum, followed by mocha coffee. Medium finish. I think I would have enjoyed this more if it was $10 cheaper.

A lovely 2010 Rioja Gran Reserva. Warm baking spice and oak up front. Clove, allspice, vanilla, graphite. Spicy. Blackberry and black cherry on the background. Medium acid. medium tannin, medium finish. For a 2010 Gran Reserva out of Rioja for $27, can't go wrong. I will buy more for sure.

Very average. Green apple, pear is about all I got from this, aroma and palate wise.

It's a $10 NV cab, don't fool yourself. It's honestly decent for what it is. Palate is pretty much just overripe plum and a bit if syrupy molasses on the quick finish. It's fine for a cheap everyday table wine but I wouldn't bring it to a tasting among enthusiasts that's for sure. But I'd also take it over Yellowtail, Barefoot, Sutter Home, etc Cab sav

Really quite surprised by how good this was for an NC wine. Bright and fruity, medium tannin and acidity, nively balanced with a medium finish. Finish was very soft and plush. Will buy more! Great daily drinker for $20

It just did not taste good. Artificial and molasses.

I always love this winery, I think they are underrated. This 2012 Reserva was solid, palate of black cherry and blackberry, hints of sandalwood and worn leather. Full bodied and medium tannin. Very nice.

Decent enough light bodied mass produced Pinot. Very cherry and strawberry. As for the finish, think of the syrup that maraschino cherries live in - it was very similar to that.

Tart raspberries, bing cherries on the palate. Pretty high acidity and astringent tannin. Medium finish of strawberry-raisin

I'm new to Riesling and really white wine. Green apple was the dominant flavor and aroma. A sweetness as well, possibly sweet pineapple. Not bad.

Great round flavor. Very soft and velvety. Lovely long finish which reminded me of freshly baked raisin bread

Drank this a week or so ago and remember it was pretty acidic with basic flavors of literally just grape, no complexity.

This $21 cab is surprisingly good. The flavor IS pretty heavy of plum and jammy raisin with a spicy/herby background, and with a nice medium finish which transitions to a more vanilla-raisin flavor. It was SUPER tasty on the 2nd day. The plum is a little more calm but still the primary fruit flavor, the spice is a little subdued, but the transition to the finishing flavor has a noticeable hickory-smoked molasses flavor to it and it lasts awhile. Surprisingly soft tannins and medium acidity. Really great value here.

Tasting notes: Bright red fruit, cranberry, raspberry. Rolls on to a lovely finish that reminds me of a raisiny cinnabon roll. Ie, cinnamon, oaky vanilla, etc. Long finish. A little acidic but it's cool. Hella yumzors. I love this winery out of Rioja

I feel like I might have gotten a bad bottle. Aroma was of rubber, with hints of dark fruit like blackberry. Palate was almost exclusively balsamic and background of blackberry. Soft tannin, short finish. No complexity, no body. Not an enjoyable bottle.

Very tasty sweet wine. Probably too sweet for winos, but perfectly yum for a gift or SO who isn't into wine

A nice pinot but at $33 seems a little overpriced. Palate had background notes of clove with a floral aspect. Fresh and fruity in the foreground. Soft tannins.

I'm pretty new to chardonnay but I did not like this. Aroma and palate of dust/must, grass, straw, vague citrus. Way too musty for me. No buttery oaky flavor at all.

This is a great $20 cab. Bright red fruit, moderate tannins and acidity. Smooth caramel/vanilla finish

Not a fan. A strange smell that reminds me of musty laundry and public restrooms with a fruity (cherry, plum) air freshener. Palate mirrors.

Nice and fruity - nose of cherry, raspberry, and star anise. Palate bing cherry, sweet cherry, raspberry, oaky vanilla finish. Soft tannins but a little acidic.

Very interesting wine here, nose of ripe, stewed plum and black licorice, cedar/oak. Palate mirrored but the cedarwood was prevalent and had a background flavor of woody vanilla bean and leathery earthy tobacco leaf mixed in. Really delicious.

Nice smoked meat flavor on the back end, very nice. I'll buy this again and hold onto it for awhile

Aromas of raspberry, pomegranate, jammy red berries. Palate is similar and more tannic than I exptected and a prominent peppery tobacco earthy finish. Emphasis on peppery/spice. Super interesting. Well worth the price, I'll certainly buy again.

Jammy redfruit nose, but not much else going on there. Flavor is similar with little complexity but a nice smooth finish. A good value for $20 honestly
