Very attractive salmon-hued pink, a nose of strawberry and cherry with lovely yeasty, pastry nuances. A subtle but beautifully textured, creamy mousse. Complex palate of cherry, berry and yeasty, biscuity flavours. A very pure acidity with lovely mineral expression and a very long, lingering finish. A stunning rose Champagne.

A harmonious nose of sour cherry with notes of forest floor and cinnamon. A balanced palate with a firm acidity and medium tannins providing structure to the core of soft cherry fruit. Some earthy/spicy complexity, a silky texture with a fairly long finish. Overall a pleasant wine. Fully mature now but could keep for another 1-2 years.

If you are one of the many who seem to be 'over' Chardonnay these days, try this and be reinspired. Made under the negotiant label of the young and talented Bret Brothers of Domaine La Soufrandiere, this wine speaks of a real sense of place. It is a terroir-driven wine that is more mineral than fruity with great lift, freshness and length while still possessing a pleasing roundness on the palate. A very fine example of the appellation.

An wine intriguing and unique wine. Showing some good colour evolution, the wine was harmonious and ready to drink. Aromas of sandalwood and spice with some American oak evident. The rather rustic palate displayed allspice, leaf tobacco, mulberry and plum superbly balanced with the wine's structural components. The alcohol is high (15%) but not too obvious due to the balanced nature of the wine. Served with fennel sausage, it was an excellent match.

Medium Sweet. Excellent ripeness and concentration. Very pure Riesling fruit with a touch of botrytis. Good complexity and balance. Exquisite tension between the sweetness and that racy Mosel acidity. Beautiful now with a terrine or creamy French Brie, this delicious wine will also gain further complexity from bottle age. 9% abv.

Moderate concentration on the nose with good varietal character and some minerality. Dry, fairly simple in style with a moderate length and a hint of residual sweetness on the finish. Better value to be found on the German side of the Mosel.

Dry with good acidity and moderate concentration. Took on body as it warmed up in the glass (preferred at room temperature to chilled). Mineral rather than fruity with moderate complexity. A good food wine.

Wonderful concentration and extract for a Kabinett. Racy Mosel acidity. Delicious now but no hurry.

Blueberry aromas with a hint of eucalypt and a certain smokiness. Moderate intensity on the palate with core of ripe black fruit, pleasant herbal notes, firm acidity, ripe, integrated tannins and a spicy finish of medium length. Classic and good value.
