This is a beautiful Cab Franc, especially for a domestic example. The wine is so bright and refreshing, weighing in at 13% abv, and showing notes of raspberry and plum fruits, some peppermint, orange zest, and lots of earthy notes. The tannins are on the lighter side, with energetic acidity and a zesty and peppery finish. The only issue is the $37 USD price tag...comparable Loire reds can be had for 50%-75% of that amount.
Drink now through 2021.

Purchased 2 bottles in 2006. Opened one immediately - was fantastic (should have bought more then). Just opened the second bottle - equally as fantastic. Still the right balance of fruit and acidity. WS got this right when then named it #68 of 2002!

Double decanting with decanter and eisch
Very fruity and seductive on the nose with ripe dark fruit for the first 45 min of decanting

Tanning is really pleasant and elegant for its price range. Unfold nicely and reaches out to othwr part of ur mouth with good manner.
I think between 1h to 2h of decanting and serving is at its peak. Serve quick
