Beautiful wine from start to finish. Full of fruit, tannins were supple and refined.
We opened it and drank it at a restaurant, we have two more bottles and I think I would decant next time and allow it to open up. Quite delicious.

So delicious! Tasted younger than a 2010! Enjoyed this during Covid at our favorite restaurant. Smooth tannins, subtle fruit. Probably should have decanted

Big rich dark fruit on the nose with a hint of tobacco leaf with a little wet stone. On the palate, still has nice tannins, but not overwhelming at all. Blueberry, maybe some raspberry and even a hint of pie crust on the palate. Loads of fruit with a big mouthfeel. Very typical of a big Central Coast Syrah. Would love to see how this wine develops over the next decade. Love Joey Tensley's wines.

Quite lively for an old wine, hints of lemon and pineapple, nice acidity. I think it will pair nicely with the pizza tonite. The heat wave has passed, so it will be enjoyed on our front porch with dinner.

Should have drank this long ago. Nose is menthol and plastic. Little hints of lemon meringue in the tongue. Mad I left it go so long.

This wine was delicious, enjoyed by 5 people that all thought the same.
It just needed time in the bottle. Beautiful notes of fruit, nicely structured. Wish we had more!

Disappointing. Flabby and without vitality. On the nose, this wine exhibits a passive display of three day old fruit left on the counter. A tinge of tobacco leaf. And a bit of charcoal, possibly splashed with lighter fluid. On the palate, it is dull and without expression. Very modest tannins attempt to coax palate to future promise, but a promise undoubtedly to be unfulfilled. A little remaining fruit, but fleeting at best. Perhaps I waited too long...?

Quite delicious! Nice tannins. Green apple and some citrus on the palate. I had it with a salad and omelet.
The body is light. The wine has a smooth texture but does finish a little short. Yum!

Nose is nice but a little briery, vegetal. Hints of dark fruits, especially blueberries, and just a touch of graphite. Changing as it opens. Palate is full but monolithic. More dark fruit, reasonably resolved tannins nice mouth feel. Probably will be much better with age but eminently drinkable just not complex enough to warrant a higher rating for my tastes.

This is a great, fruit forward Central Coast cab, especially on the nose. In addition to the dark fruit, hints of leather and tobacco leaf, maybe some graphite. Palate is lush but still quite tannic. I think this wine can go for a long time. Glad I have six more bottles to enjoy over the next decade plus!

Drank too soon. Needs more time. I suspect it will be very good in years to come. Nice nose of chocolate covered cherries, a touch of sweet tobacco. Palate is restrained. Hints of rhubarb, a little black cherry, and, surprisingly, a touch roasted meats.

Rhubarb, pie crust, ripe strawberries, wet gravel, maybe a hint of tobacco leaf all on the nose. Beautiful nose! Similar notes on the palate with very nice dark fruit, some pleasant briariness, but still notable tannins. Overall, great wine.

I was surprised this wine was as good as it was. I expected it to be flabby and over the hill. However, it had a surprisingly nice albeit restrained nose of tobacco and maybe a little forest floor. The color was remniscent of a much older Bordeaux, very brickish on the edges. Still pleasant, well-resolved fruit on the palate.

Excellent wine. Lots of dark fruit, a bit of spice, pepper and vanilla on the nose. Chocolate cherry and even a bit of tropical fruit on the palate. High acidity and very high alcohol.

Pleasant wine, but simplistic. No layers or nuances. Nice to drink and enjoyable, but does not lend itself deep consideration of its presentation.

Nose was restrained, but dark fruits are coming through as the wine opens along with a little eucalyptus. Fairly tannic (typical for an 11). Palate shows a little red fruit, wet stone, and maybe some anise. A touch of creme brulee also comes through. Probably needs to open a lot more and could benefit from a few more years in the bottle.

Dark fruit, a little bit of leather and tobacco leaf on the nose. Nose seemed to dissipate relatively quickly. Very nice palate, but not a long finish. Tannins are reasonably well resolved given the age, modest acidity. Lacks complexity.

Big, jammy wine with dark fruit, plenty of anise. Lots of leather and hints of tar. This wine is probably past its prime and is best with hearty food or very flavorful cheese.

Perfumed on the nose with cherry pie (unusual for a Zin). Blackberry and blueberries on the palate along with a little roasted meat and maybe a hint of vanilla. Needs more time, probably would get a higher score from me, but very good. Nice wine as usual for Linne Calodo. Love these wines!

While I am not a big drinker of Pinots, I really enjoyed drinking this wine. The nose was soft and supple with hints of bright red fruit and notes of vanilla. The palate reflected less acidity than I would have preferred, but nice, well-resolved red fruit, maybe raspberry rather than cherry, and a little creme brulee. Tasted at the winery about 18 months ago and would note that it has developed nicely. Have always like Wells' wines and this one is no exception!

Perfumed, floral nose with rose petals. Overly well resolved on the palate. The acidity is gone. Fruit is muted at best. More cigar box on the palette than anything, but not overly pronounced. Not a bad wine, just underwhelming.

Very ripe plums on the nose. Almost a wet cardboard nose. Wine was lacking in any acidity. Don't see this developing further although it has received successively better and better reviews from certain sources. Perhaps I am missing something.

This is yet another great Anomaly wine. Classic Napa wine from the floor around Spring Mountain. Great dusty blue fruit on the nose with a hint of vanilla, maybe even a little red raspberry on the olfactory finish. More dark fruit, ripe blueberry, with a touch of creme brulee on the finish. Still tannic, this wine will go for years. If you have not been out to see Steve, Linda and Seth at Anomaly, what are you waiting for!?!?
