This wine has a lot of spice and black fruit. The tannins are medium to low and there is a tangy finish.

This wine has bright red fruit flavors, lots of spice and a long lip smacking finish. There is a pleasant dryness to this wine and a complexity of earth mixed with the fruit and spice.

Agree with the cherry and raspberry flavors hitting your palate early. Not the fruit profile I picture with a zin, but a very agreeable one in this case. There is a good earth flavor, a bit of eucalyptus, significant pepper and spice all blended smoothly into this wine. Rockpile wines come with a nice minerality and that is present in this bottle also.

Black fruit, plum almost prune flavor. Although that sounds bad and what I am tasting is lovely and luscious. The fruit blends with lots of earth, a bit of tar and spice into a long full finish. There is a tart component to this wine that works with the fruit. A slight harshness in the finish kept it from being a 92.

This wine has an interesting lilac floral favor to me, that is combined with a lot of earth, spice, tannins and red fruit into a lovely floral and layered flavor profile. The Grenache is definitely making its presence known, but the Syrah adds a backbone to make a full flavored and elegant wine.

Pezzi King makes big, fruit forward wines. Kenneth Carl does not disappoint. But this is much more than just a fruit forward zin. There are layers of earth and spice blended with a velvety mouth feel. The earth component seems unusual for a zin and adds a nice complexity to the wine.

Cliff Lede can make some spectacular cabs, this Howell Mountain cab is a very nice example of a very good smooth wine. You have velvet on the tongue and layers of black fruit, spice, earth and nice dry tannins. This bottle is very nicely balanced and has a lip smacking sort of finish.

Big, spicy black fruit, blended with low tannins into a full flavored bottle of wine. Oakville wines are always excellent and this vintage is no exception. The earth comes out on the long finish.

Rich plum fruit with pleasantly tart flavors and a bit of tobacco are all combined into a very nice wine. This wine has a good long finish. Malbec is a distinctively flavored grape and this is a very enjoyable example of the varietal.

This does need time to open up to add the extra fruit flavors and make it more complex. Original flavor was very dusty, the layers and complexity increased with a double decant and more time for the second glass. Blackberry fruit is really wonderfully blended with a dusty flavor, spice and tannins. This bottle has a super long full finish. Law Estate makes wonderful wines and this one has a unique flavor profile for their wines but is equally as wonderful.

Purple fruit seamlessly blended with spice combine into a Rockpile wine that lives up to the vineyard expectations. No shy violet, this is a big, mouth filling wine. Despite having lots of fruit there is a lot going on in this bottle. No worries about a simple fruit bomb bottle of wine, this wine delivers the layers and complexity to balance out the spectacularly tasty fruit.

Red fruit on the tip of the tongue but followed by way too much acid. The tart flavor is unbalanced and not typical of a Zinfandel.

Complained to Brittan about the wine and they have fabulous customer service. They were very pleasant and obliging and I am very enthusiastic now about the winery despite this one bad cork. They have solved the problem with inferior corks and their wines should now taste as good after cellaring as they do when you try them at the tasting room.

Oh, my, Cliff Lede does know how to make wine! The bottle says this is a Red Wine, but by the taste it certainly does have a lot of cab in it. Black plum fruit, spice, earth start the taste profile and they are followed by a long full finish with wonderful tannins. This wine is so nicely layered with a velvety mouthfeel...and oh...did I mention the tannins? Just perfect!

This wine has a rich dark color and flavors to match. Dark plum fruit blended with lots of spice and pepper into a medium bodied wine with a long spicy finish. This gives you everything you expect in a Zinfandel (unless you are in the zin must be a fruit bomb category, this wine has good fruit but (fortunately for my taste profile) it is layered with the spice and pepper.). Very enjoyable!

Opened for about an hour and then decanted before drinking. This bottle of wine started out good but improved with food. Big dark cherry fruit, yes, there is oak, but not over extracted, just a good oak backbone that is nicely balanced with the fruit, a solid earth, spice and acid. I think this is a excellent representation of Panther Creek wines.

Not sure what some people were drinking, or our taste profile is way different. Malbec has a distinctive flavor and this blend has a lot of Malbec in it. There is a sharp fruit and earth taste (sharp as in contrast to soft, not as a criticism) The long finish has more spice in it than earlier in the taste. Tannins also are showing up in the finish.
