90-91 region. I think I like this vintage very slightly more than 2008 and possibly very slightly less than 2007.

Super funky but really nice with that.

Very burgundian Etna, lots of smoke and red fruit, I think this is now ready to drink. 91-92 boundary for me.

Alarmingly good and this may even be a slightly conservative 95. Licorice, pepper, thyme, marjoram, leather, juniper, raspberry evident on the nose, proceeding to mulberry, kirsch, redcurrant, blueberry and unveiling more and more fruits as the glass went on. Finish shows a touch of menthol, and some hibiscus, bell pepper and perfume to offer a counterpoint to the fruit. Excellent.

Searing, almost crystalline purity of fruit. Bramble, cherry, cassis, plum. Soft leather, smoke, tobacco, violet. A very good showing.

Wild nose with vegetal (nori? chard?) and animalistic vibes (tripe, cured meat). Lots of pepper, smoke, earthiness. Morello cherry, plum stones, a touch of jalapeno on the finish. Went well with offal-stuffed cabbage.
Rosé - Sparkling
Don't feel comfortable putting a number on this, both because of my lack of experience for the style and also because it followed some pretty wild bottles and seemed almost too clean and pure afterwards. Sharp, crisp, rhubarb, redcurrant, apple, lemon, chalk, wild strawberry, cherry stem.

Very atypical PF and if I had not tried anything from the producer before I would have been stunned to hear where it was from. Pretty wild oxidation but without coming across as faulty. Pickled walnut the obvious reference, preserved lemon, smoke, fennel, chalk, some pretty prominent tannins on the finish somehow.

One of the best whites I have ever tried and outrageously youthful given the age. Almost notes of reduction remaining on the nose and fabulous acidity. Caramel popcorn, lemon curd, baked apple, nutmeg, earth, truffle. Round, intense, vibrant, spicy, brilliant.

Lovely poise and balance and is very light on its feet given the incredible density. Butterscotch, citrus, sage, oak up front on the nose. This gives way to quince, Meyer lemon, lanolin, and honey, with seashell, apricot and wax creeping in at the finish. Beautiful tension.

dg 2015. Nose of Caramel, hazelnut, mushroom, lemon curd. Bruised apple, honey, butter, walnut sourdough toast, tangerine, sherry in the mouth. Finish felt yeasty with some lime and a beguiling note of calvados. My first time trying a champagne in this style to limited scope for comparison but highly impressive.

Good but you can tell it's too young. Recommend to leave 3-5 years.

Rich complex Chenin - very accomplished.

Still great, but not reaching for me the stellar heights of previous vintages at this point.

Smoke, red fruit, this was a very classy wine!

Good, though I might expect this to be even better in a couple of years. Feels like there is room for everything to integrate more. In the price range, I would say Bosconia is more my style.

If the Vent de Spilite is this good I can't wait to try the Grand Beaupreau. Super stuff.

A real corker this, much denser and weightier than I expected from the grape but handled it beautifully.

Solid example of the style but outshone a touch by some other bottles this weekend.

Simpler than #8 but very interesting. Meyer lemon, yuzu, rhubarb, wet stone, coriander seed. A touch petillant.

For me this is far and away the best of the Puro Rofe wines - already good but scope to improve further. Salt, smoke, struck match, honey, preserved lemon, yellow apple, volcanic rock, almond.

Elegant darkish rose full of strawberries, cream and mineral drive.

Herbal, iron - but there is a little more austerity in here than I would go for, this could I think probably have used more time. Possibly the slightest touch of TCA but not offensive - I could also be imagining but I'm not getting as much fruit as I might hope.

Bubblegum, violet, blueberry, graphite, salt, iron. Bright acidic finish with some bitterness on the very end. The fruit dies a little quickly, it could stick around longer.

Idiosyncratic and quite atypical natural Chenin, lightly petillant (crown cap), popcorn reduction, apple, yeast, lemon, nutmeg, meadowsweet, apricot, salt. Not one for the purists maybe but it's very pleasant indeed.

Amazing stuff - this has notes of lemon curd, salt, almond, stone - could easily be confused for something a good deal pricier, the balance just so fine!

Think I preferred the Rosso slightly but still nice and interesting. Hibiscus, pomegranate, ash, smoke, strawberry.
