1996 Ridge Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel (view label images)
Woha second bottle of the lot and the first was not very good. This has sous bois notes, a lot of spice and verve. Some tannins in the back end add to the structure. Really very good.
White - Sweet/Dessert
1996 Château d'Yquem Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Havent written a note in a while but this wine compells me to. Shockingly intense and full of mint, peaches, honey, nutmeg and sweetness with just enough acidity. Clean but enormous in body. Wowza for a 96. Drank a 99, 02, 98, 95 recently and it kills all of them. 89 and 90 recently were in another league.

2009 Henri Boillot Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay (view label images)
Creamy nose with lime pit, white flowers and yellow fruits. The palate has a touch of fresh cream, a tiny bit of chalk and some nice yellow fruit. Very clean finish.
Red
2005 Château Pavie St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
A friend wanted to try this. Huge, tannic, structured and hard as nails. Great stuffing though. Bold black fruit emerges with flannery rib cap but ultimately it overwhelms the beef.

Super tannic and just as structured. These need to sleep. Offering little fruit now.
Red
Soft and delicious with earthy blackberries and cherries. Long and smooth. Great acidic bite. Delicious.
White - Off-dry
Not the most acidic prum ive ever had but full of honey and apricots. Stays with you for a while and just acidic enough to work with fish.
Red
Yum see my previous note. Not much changed.
Red
Big and brooding with lots of cassis and dark cherries but lacking a little acidity. Couldnt notice the tannins but I had it with a steak. Dusty note. Very good.
Red
Deep, sweet and intense in both nose and palate. Lots of sassafras and ripe plums. Clean finish with a hint of herbs. Good but huge.
Red
Rhubarby, cola nose with more cola and beight berries on the palate. Less acid than usual for rm, with some orange peel but again less than usual. Lean. Good.
Red
Reductive nose with some grilled meats. The palate is big and boozy with dark fruit and lots of black pepper. Huge wine. Lots of fun.

White - Sparkling
Perfumey, white flower nose. The palate is soft and missing a little verve. Nice yellow fruits. Good but outshined by an 02 pol roger
White - Sparkling
Somewhat of a quiet nose this time. The palate is young and intense with lime abd citrus and some yellow orchard fruit. Really good.
Red
Decanted for 2 hours. Sweet spices nose followed by crushed berries. The palate is full but doesnt feel heavy. The berries are there but carrying a ton of acidity making them seem light. Great wine.

Dark berries, kirsch, and raspberries on the nose. The palate is deep and rich with black cherries and cinnamon. Long and delicious. Love it.
White
Salty and minerally on the nose. The palate is intense and fuity with lime and lemons. Oh so clean and delicious. Very long. Yum.
Rosé - Sparkling
Well this is more.intense than I thought possible. The nose is kind of tame with toaty notes and minerals. The palate is very intense with bright strawberry and amazing acidity. Some lemon peel comes through as well. Very long.
Red
Say what you will about Caymus but the SS is a good wine if you like large scaled cabs. Dense and rich with cocoa, cinnamon and cassis. Crowd pleaser and me pleaser. No part of your palate goes unrewarded by rich fruit. Love this with steak seasoned only with salt and pepper.

2005 Jones Family The Sisters Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
These are declining a little and the last glass fell apart. Some red and black fruits remain but it doesn't have the kick of intense fruit that it used to have. Bummer. I'll be killing my last bottle soon.
Red
I like this, but it is definitely leaner than cayuse and also has a lot less of the cayuse funk which some days is a good thing. I'm on the fence about buying again. I think I'll just get the Tempranillo and see how that goes..

Brown sugar makes way after a day for cinnamon, blackberry liquor and cassis. The palate is medium to full with raspberries, cassis, a beefy note and some dark ccooa. It finishes just a bit clipped and incredibly seems too young still.
White
A little flint, a little vanilla, some butter and just a hint of peach on the nose. The palate has some pineapple (I don't get the honey mentioned in previous notes) some lime pith and a little bitterness. I like it, I don't love it.
Red
A little vanilla and a little sweat on the nose enveloping intense raspberry. The palate is intense and bright with ripe berries and a little lemon peel. Long and delicious with just a little bite. I love this.

2003 Château Pavie St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Amazing nose of soy, flowers, white pepper and some spices. The palate is the perfect consistency for this time of night. Tannic still but delicious and long.
Red
Loads of olive tapenade. Soke beef on the nose. The palate has immediately drying tannins and some dry beef. Dried baking spices. Better with food.
White - Sparkling
A dusty nose with some hay. Hint of petrol? Mild mousse a it feels tired. Good not great.

Nice oaky cali chard. Maybe age will help it but lately ive been a little more averse to oak in chard. Good fruit. An 07 kings farm had next to it was really good so maybe time will do wonders.
White
Very good. Thick and viscous with yellow fruits and a hint of oaky sweetness. Reminds me of aubert. Like it a lot.
White
2007 Nicolas Joly Clos de la Coulée de Serrant Savennières-Coulée de Serrant Chenin Blanc (view label images)
Huet light. A bit oxidized but nice yellow honeyed fruit. Nice length a little short on the acid.
White
Lemon like on the intense nose. The palate is crisp and lemony. Lots of yellow fruits. A little clipped so I dont know about longetivity but its delicious now
Red
Big, brawny and still too young surprisingly. Lots of stuffing and big fruit with tannins to match. This will be excellent to great in the future I think.
White - Sparkling
Lime laden nose with toast and wood. The palate is bright and limey with cisp acidity and less body than other recent years. Good. Not great.

A bit of burnt rubber of the nose. Peculiar. Might have written it off if it wasnt alban. Some spice red fruit underneath. The palate is clean with spicy grenache fruit and lots of savory beefy notes. Yum.

Huge nose full of flowers and slate. Such a flowery nose. The palate has a hint of sweet followed by bracing acidity. Super long and amazing mouthfeel. Great mousse. I love this.
Red
Bright but not fleshy enough. Lots of raspberries and some herbs. Good, not great
White
Lemony chard note with just some wisps of oak. The palate is medium with more noticeable oak. Lots of lemon but disjointed. Needs time.
Red
Bright raspberry nose. The palate is a little leaner than most donums. Still its medium bodied and fun. Certainly delicious.

There is an almost port like reduction on the nose st first. Olice notes? The palate, on the other hand, is all grenache with bright ripe raspberries and a peppery bite. Very appealing palate that leaves a hint of sweet berries hanging around for a long time.
Red
Beastly nose of bbq and raw beef. The palate is medium to full with ripe raspberries and even though it is on the heavier side it is lighter than the nose promises. Not a lot of structure which is a bit of a shame.
Red
Beefy nose with black cherries, some herbs and a little ash. The palate is medium and almost fully resolved with tart cherries and a hint of ash. Some herbs on the palate as well with some creaminess on the back end.
