Cream soda strawberry and vanilla on the nose. Nice ruby colour. On the palate black cherry and raspberry, earth and chanterelle. Good structure to the tannins and balanced acidity. Will likely benefit from a year or three in the bottle.

Past it’s prime and affected by volatile acidity.

Cherry, raspberry, leather, mushroom, and loads of vanilla oak. Good tannins and acidity. Slight excess alcohol and very heavy oak. The next day the oak mellowed and it was much more balanced and enjoyable with a silky mouthfeel. This definitely benefits from a good decanting.

Ripe blackberries, strawberries, and spice on the nose. Blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, spice, fresh herbs, leather, tar. Complex and nicely balanced. This wine is probably peaking now. Drink up.

Cranberry, raspberry, with notes of chocolate, vanilla, and some earthiness. Perfectly fine but not particularly interesting.

Surprisingly little on the nose. Blackberry, red currant, cherry, hints of leather, lots of briny minerality. Firm tannins and good acidity. Potential for improvement with a few more years in the bottle but drinking well now. Definitely a food wine.

Loads of juicy blackberries with black cherry, plum, and baking spice. After a decade in the bottle it would benefit from stronger tannins or a bit more acidity but overall it’s quite pleasant and enjoyable.

Black cherry, baking spice, and alcohol on the nose. Cherry, cassis, raspberry, baking spice, and alcohol on the palate. More body than most pinots. Nice tannins and good acidity. Well balanced but lacking in delicacy with excessive alcohol on the nose and palate.

Delicate nose of golden fruit is somewhat underwhelming. Pear, golden apple, lemon, stone, honeysuckle, mango, well balanced with good acidity and soft tannins. I don’t see a lot of aging potential but it’s drinking very well now.

Lovely in the glass with an underwhelming but pleasant nose. Earthy mushroom and tart red currant with soft tannins on the palate give way to excessive acidity and wet cardboard on the finish. Well past it’s prime, this is a fine wine completely undermined by a very rough finish.

Rather underwhelming at 11 years old. I expected it to stand up better. Still enjoyable but probably peaked a few years ago.
