Deep purple color. Dark fruit including plums, some earth iron notes. Would probably give this a bit more time. Somewhat muted.

Definitely give this a long decant at this point.

Oak notes on nose along with honeysuckle, apricot, apple and maybe some pineapple. Much lighter on the palate with only the lightest note of well integrated oak. Light-medium body. Apple and pear, less tropical on palate. Would drink in the near future.

Plush and rich. Ripe racy fruit, still showing some oak. New World in style, fruit quality is obvious. I think this is near peak.

Nicely resolved tannins give it a dusty finish. Cherries and dried herbs with a menthol note. Really excellent.

30 min double decant, drank it bit warmer than I would have preferred. Nose a bit muted. Tasty but not very expressive on the mid-palate, but huge dose of salinity on the back end. Rating withheld as this wine didnt get the attention it deserved.

5 hour decant. More fruit and less "tawny" flavors than the previous bottle. Cherry liquer, fig and a little bit of licorice. very nice, definitely in a good window.

To be fair this definitely didn't get enough air. Very tight. Tart green apple. Very chablis-like flavors and good minerality. Not a lot of yeasty aromas. I definitely think this could use some time in the cellar. Very enjoyable. Not comfortable rating this as I don't think it should have been a pop and pour.

very silky and the alcohol was not particularly noticeable. Tons of cherry and lots of spicy undertones (cinnamon?) Showing no signs of fading and really hitting its prime I think. A great bttle of wine and one of the best I've had in a while. My only complaint is it comes off as a bit "heavy" for a pinot.

Bottle looked practically brand new with fill well into neck. Wine inside also looked young with just the tiniest bit of bricking. Dried flowers and a round plum aroma. Certainly alive and interesting. Dont have a ton of experience with wines of this age so will withhold rating, but a nice bottle.

Definitely on the rich side. Oak still showing but not obtrusive. Lots of cherry fruit.

Double decant. "Dusty" tannin. Dark fruit and some minerality. Powerful wine. Would think this has years to go. My last one unfortunately.

Really great complex wine. Has a lot going on. Pop and Vinturi into decanter. Nice red fruit, herbal with a bit of green pepper (much less pronounced then a few years ago). Also some olive notes. A beautiful wine and the best cabernet based wine I've had this year.

PnP then went back to it 2 hours later. Lots of black olives and brine. Some smoke and herbs. Dark fruit. Very savory. Definitely weightier and more serious than the bottle I tried 8 months ago (so much so that I double checked I hadn't opened the St. Joseph).

Really fantastic cabernet. Decanted for an hour and rested in bottle for another. Only got a small pour as it was shared 8 ways. Deep "dusty" cherry profile with a bit of black fruit. Silky tannins. A bit of green pepper in the background. Will probably wait 3 years to open my other one.

Fruit had a weird candied aspect too it. Kind of round not much bite. Something medicinal about it. Drank more like a red than a rose, and improved a bit as it warmed up. Probably best a bit above cellar temp.

Served slightly chilled (at Pearl & Ash). We were given this as a replacement for an extremely bretty Raffault. Wow! Slightest touch of funk. Lots of dark berries. Velvety smooth yet still has some structure. Back end has a bit of a crushed rock taste. Outstanding and great QPR.

Opened at Pearl & Ash. Just a touch of funk on opening. Salmon colored with a tinge of copper. Bubbles on opening, but they faded somewhat quickly. Really unique profile. Citrus notes but also a hint of something more savory. Tinge of vinegar on the nose, but not in an off-putting way. Really unique interesting wine, and a great warm weather sipper.

Opened at Pearl &Ash. Bottle opened with noticeable funk. My wife commented that it smelled "wet," but we thought that would dissipate a bit if it got some air. As it got some air it really just smelled of band-aids and we really couldn't taste much fruit. Unfortunately brett had gotten the best of this bottle, and I am generally pretty tolerant of brett. They were very nice about replacing this with something else, although I suspect the sommelier thought it was just the" character" of the wine.

30 minute decant. Beautifully integrated bordeaux blend, Notes of cedar, predominantly blackberries and cherries on the palate with just a bit of bell pepper coming from the Cab Franc component. Silky refined tannins. Could be the best wine I had in 2013.

Pop and pour. Lots of dark fruit but also has tons of smoke and iron. Reminds me a lot of St Cosme's le Deux Albion. Flavor profile was very different from other California syrahs I've had. Definitely struck me as more Rhone than California. Really an awesome wine for $20 and I think its only going to improve.

3 hour slow ox. Not showing nearly as much fruit as the last bottle. Guessing its a case of being a bit closed rather than bottle variation, but time will tell. Still a nice drink for $20, just not as impressive as the last one.

Pop and pour, drank a glass, remainder on day 3. Really light on its feet for a zin, more on the red fruit side of things. Had a bit of cranberry tartness and some currant. Improved a good bit with air giving it a rounder mouthfeel. Definitely a zin for people who aren't necessarily into zins. I think this is the best Bedrock OV yet.

Slow ox for about an hour than drank over the course of another hour. Nose of lemon zest and some floral elements. Medium-weight. Oak was noticeable but something short of vanilla. lemon and some weightier tropical flavors. Really nicely done but definitely more fruit and less mineral than I would have expected (my 1st Rhys Chard). Probably better in 3 years when the oak has receded a bit further.

Pop and pour probably didn't do this justice. Had a lot of melon fruit. Did not strike me as having as much lychee as prior years. Unlike the Karitas I think I may prefer this one right on release.
