Dull and syrupy on the first night. Fireworks by the third night. Once it opened up, I got creamy pears, nut loaf, burnt banana peel, and sea shell. Some clear secondary notes compared to previous tasting five years ago. Delicious.

Probably best to drink in the next 5 years.

    2/23/17, 4:39 PM - I had it with homemade Indian food...chicken korma...and it was great. Might also go well with Thai food or other spicey, lightly colored foods. It's a late harvest wine with some weight and sweetness. Like an off-dry Auslese. Enjoy!

Sweet nose of elderberries, tart cherries, dried fig, and cigar smoke. Earthy and creamy. A bit warm but only a minor distraction from this otherwise seductive and full bodied Spanish beauty. Strong acidic pop carries the fruit through the entire, medium-length finish. Solid grip.

This should last for years.
