Tasting Notes for JustinMcDonald

The perfect example of people not understanding what a wine is then giving it a ridiculous score.

The wine is from Mudgee, not the Hunter

Drank the wine over 2 nights, found it elegant and quite a good example of a Mudgee Shiraz, on the second night the wine had opened up significantly and the heat had dropped a little, a lovely little wine.

Lovely, too young but I have another, a great wine with much more to give. With reference to others others comments re "I don't usually enjoy aussie shiraz" I suggest you learn something about regional differences.

My last one, big fan of this wine and have been drinking them for 10 is years, a proper Lindemans wine without Fosters meddling.

Corked, noticed the colour change about a month ago, shame, thankfully the Tyrrells has moved to screw cap although I still have quite a few Vats with cork in the cellar

In the rare event that someone at Oatley will read this. Cellar door cost $35, is currently $22 at Dan Murphies, extremely unimpressed and will not be purchasing your wine again.

Have been drinking these over the last 6-7 years. Quite possibly the best sparking shiraz I have had. Palate expresses typical medium bodied HV shiraz, extremely well balanced and showing the benefits of some bottle age. Only have one left, might have to give them a call. Love it!

Something just not right about it, had one a month ago and it was excellent, must just have been a dud bottle.

Lovely bottle of wine, not a super star but good solid $A30 pinot

Bought 6 on a whim, they were cheap at Dans. Initial thoughts was it is a good Hunter Valley Shiraz, medium bodied with that lovely dirt character. Will see how they develop.

Big solid wine, bit hot but you get that. Good go to at the price.

Enjoyably floral and citrus. Enjoyed very much

Just plain old yummy, love it.

A beautiful Hunter Semillon. Extremely well balanced, had moved on from the lemon and citrus thing and started to show toast, nuts and a hint of wood while maintaining the classic HV acid and fruit characteristics. A sensational bottle of wine.

Light fizz, attempt at the aperitif style. Not my kind of thing

Light to medium body, semi cold climate shiraz. Quite restrained, easy to drink without forming an opinion one way or the other about it.
