I'll regret posting this, but delicious... best priced Rutherford cab I've had (closeout priced at my local store). Bought 2 last week, bought more today.

Popped Poured... dark mountain fruits, long finish... was having a fire outside amongst friends and other bottles, so no detailed notes. Overall, it was drinking in its prime and I wish I had more to sit and study it.

14 bucks a bottle, best value of us Rhone I can recall. Drank it by a fire in the snow but all agreed it was great- dark fruits and supple. More notes on next bottle

Reductive to start.... beautiful color with a slight bit of bricking, nose has black fruit and menthol, palet has grilled meats and white petter. Loads of acidity and well balanced. Bit past its prime but fun- I recall buying this bottle and saying to myself that I wanted to try it in 20 years. BOOM: test complete

Just freaking delicious. A cool fruits , barrel treatment is a bit heavier than I like, but the finish is endless. I would not have put it as WA, but maybe chilean , but this is a QPR and a crowd pleasing wine

It was good, should have been drunk but wasn't stewed .... just light and touching on over the hill

Pnp, drank over an hour. Plums, dark fruit, tannins tame. Great bottle all around

First day a bit tight and gamey but after 3 days in a coravin pivot, it became a fleshy, full bodied, dark cherry cola , balanced , sexy beast of a wine.

Loved it

That was good. ...

Table of 14 - all my wife's family and not a one wanted a glass. I make a subtle offer, but no one was drinking. Well sucks to be yall because this bottle was gorgeous and drinking on all cylinders.

3 hr slow ox... somewhat muted nose, but dark fruit and mushrooms, in the mouth , vosne spice with dark and dark red fruits. Balanced, lush and ready to drink. Unsure how far into the future this will last (before shutting down) but right now, it is open for biz

My thinking was 86-87 on day one with a slow ox of 5 hours. It was harsh , unbalanced and very young.

Day 2 (24 hours after bottle is open and 3/4 the bottle drunk, resolved tannin, prunes on the nose, mix of dark and red fruits in the mouth with a long finish. Some bell pepper on pallet, but not overwhelming. Definitely a new world oaky style, but seems to work on this bottle. I purchased on secondary for 35 bucks , just the other day.

Overall, I'm happy for the qpr

Surprised how well this drank. Pnp , tinge of browning, light-medium weight...funky when opened (slight stewed tomatoes, and mushroom) but you can tell the cab/merlot really held together with balanced acidity. After while, a touch of dark fruit started to come out. Drank over 1.5 hour and got better and better. Definitely would have been better 5 years ago, but higher marks for how well this was constructed.

Solid but not brainy. I expected a light carneros cherry pinot but this had structure and some meatiness... more fruit on day one (cherry cola) that became almost lighter-rhone-syrah like on day 2.

Interesting, and for 35 bucks, worth the cost or admission... if it was $50 retail, I'd probably still be happy, but not over that cost

Wasn't stored perfectly, but lots of tropical fruits, still had clean minerals and a mildly steely backbone.

Hitting on all cylinders and time to drink up

Good, maybe great, but not the amazing experience others have posted. Decanted for an hour and drunk over 4. Nose muted. Dark black fruit core, dense with menthol and what appears to be well integrated new fench oak. Although it was very well balanced and wound up, it didn't rank super high on the excitement meter.

I'd say 5 more years before I try to open this bottling again.
