I just don't like this wine. Bought it after Vaynerchuk recommended it I think. Has very little structure to it. Expected a lot more.

Had this wine at Gibson's in Chicago about 6 years ago. Was delicious then so I bought some of it,as well as the Devil's Peak. Both are great wines but the Cardinal's Peak edges it.

I think this is great value. Greenish tinge in appearance with a bright apple on the palate. Really pleasing finish, didn't disappear like you might expect.

Quite viscous, more so than expected. Not bad, but not great. Wouldn't drink it again.

Maybe past it's best as it wasn't as good as I remember it. Actually tasted a lot better the 2nd day.

tasted more like a chardonnay than a sauv blanc not as acidic as your typical SB

woody on the nose, didn't get much fruit. Dark cherry on the palate. Drank OK for 3 days

Tasted better on days 2 and 3 than it did on day 1. Lost some of the bitterness.

Did not like this at all right out of the bottle. As a regular pinot drinker, this is by far the worst I've had in a long time. Didn't get much on the nose, a slight musty smell. Average to slightly dark colour. Not a lot of structure to this wine.
Will try again in an hour and use the venturi.

Reminds me of a hospital, both on the nose and the palate initially. Very medicinal. Quite tight yet a lingering finish.

Missing from my cellar, presumed drunk. And if I remember correctly, I liked this wine a lot.

Fantastic color - a dark red cherry. Enjoyed this wine a LOT. Ate it with a lamb and potato stew and cauliflower.

I really like this wine. Can drink it anytime, with or without food. Stands up to a steak or makes a great Sunday afternoon drink while preparing diner.

Pleasant enough. No big WOW! factor. Drank it with a homemade mac n cheese. Pam liked it. Described it as "sweet yet dry"

bit tight straight out of the bottle, dark but not black. opened up a little after pouring through the Vinturi. Much longer finish. Drank it with some cheese which completely changed it. Very candy like on the back end, like a starburst.
Had the last glass 48 hours later. Fruit bomb.

Very easy to drink wine on a Sunday afternoon after pumpkin picking.

March 12, 2011 and this is still drinking very well. I agree with the barnyard on the nose (sheep's bum as Gary V would say) but it's not overwhelming. Smooth and full bodied without any tannins at all. Excellent value at $14.

Fantastic nose. Pears and starburst and citrusy flavoured chewing gum, followed by quite a strong mint component.
Very pleasant on the palate; very nice finish with that mint coming through again on the back end. Now it's starting to taste like mouthwash. I just lowered the score from 88 to 85

A beautiful cherry red colour out of the bottle. Not the most complex wine I've ever tasted. No back end to speak of but it slides down easily with a strong hint of cherry on the mid palate.

I loved this wine. Great value for money. Definitely not past it's drink by date. Tried the 2008 a few days later and it's nowhere near as good just yet.

Tasted much better after being opened for a couple of days. Not much length to it but quite smooth and fruity. Pretty good value in my opinion.

sweet and viscous, the sort of wine my wife loves. A little too sweet for me to drink more than a couple of glasses

remember really liking it but can't remember too much about it. very smooth, not tannic

Quite tannic to start with. Then I drank it with some salami and it was a great complement as the fat of the meat destroyed the tannins. Definitely needs food. Not one I'd drink on it's own.

Had this immediately after a 2006 Frank Family Zinfandel. Big disappointment. Thin with no finish. Had it again a few days later and it was no better.

Had this with a steak at Gibsons in Chicago and absolutely loved it. Smooth with great red fruits from start to finish. Immediately came home and tried to find a case of it, which was hard to do. Found some Devil's Peak instead which is similarly very good.

All sorts of things going on both aromatically and on the palate. Huge chocolate on the nose and caramel on the front end.. Very smooth
