This is just terrific. Lemon tart and biscuit with a creamy mousse. Long finish that you can feel on your lips for minutes after each sip. Should evolve wonderfully.

Full bodied for a Gevrey and rather spicy. I found this is a bit too woody which seemed to overshadow the fruit. Lacked the Burgundian qualities I expected.

This is so good. Sea salt, minerality, vibrant acidity. Really well made. Open on a sunny day and enjoy.

Zingy acidity, some light tropical notes of grapefruit and mango. Excellent glass for lunch or aperitif.

Lovely and quaffable. Darker fruit on the nose but light and fresh with red fruit when tasting. Higher acid, low tannin. Can be served chilled.

This has developed nicely. Lovely petrol, green apple notes with a viscous oily texture.

2009 & 2011 Side By Side over two days
2011 - Nice racy acidity, more herbal notes but still nice coffee and chocolate as well. A pleasant surprise but I would drink now.
2009 - Similar flavors but more body, structure and grip with a more pronounced nose. Seemed younger that the 2011 and still has life and potential for development.

A bit big and oaky on the first day but mellowed over the next two to reveal more nice mineral notes but still held weight. Drank alongside the Fourchaume VV which was preferred on the first day due to crispness but the Vaupulans held much better and showed it class with more air.

Still drinking nice but don't see it improving. Drank over 3 days and held steady with crisp acidity on the first day moving to honey over the next 2. Drank alongside the Les Vaupulans which was oaky on the first day but mellowed and was really lovely on day 2-3.

Light, straw color. Green apple, vitamin notes. Refreshing lunch wine with salad. Not showing signs of fading but no reason to hold, drink now.

Decanted 5 hours. Dark red, garnet color. Deep and full bodied without being heavy. Ripe red fruit with some wet leaf forest notes. Will buy more to cellar and open in 3+ years.

Most will find this a bit thin and acidic. Can be very enjoyable as a chilled aperitif or light afternoon red. Drink now

Lively and tart. Hints of lime and fresh cut grass. In great shape, not fading. Almost never drink Sancerre but this is really nice.

Delicious wine. Violet, Blackberry jam, hint of raspberry and pepper. Open with a very long decant now. Tasted with the 2017 which was more spicy, closed and serious.

Still juicy and fresh. Doesn't seem to age. Would guess it was 3-4 years old. Will leave my last bottle for at least 3 more years.

I had a great experience with this wine. Showed all the great characteristics of aged Bordeaux with earthiness and a bit of funky cheese on the nose. Nice mouthfeel and texture. Certainly did not have the structure or depth of top level Bordeaux but this was a real surprise.

Honey and orange on the nose. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Fairly low acidity and bit of short finish but a nice wine. Would be nice with cheese.

Ripe red fruit and classic Burgundy on the nose. Powerful fruit for 2008 with nice structure but also straightforward. Delicious not a whole lot going on. (Tasted head to head with Lambrays MSD Les Loups which was more complex)

Complex nose with Clove, Anise and ripe red fruit. More cinnamon on the palette with really vibrant acidity. One of the better 2008's I've tasted. (Head to head with 2008 Ponsot MSD Alouettes which was nice but more straight forward, less complex)

Could easily guess this was 3 years old tasting it blind. Fresh, bright character with nice stone and salty qualities. Perfect lunch white. Drank over 3 DAYS with no sign of fading. Very impressive. Seeking out more vintages.

This is still surprisingly youthful with primary fruit and tannic structure. Very earthy, forest floor and some funk mixed with big dark berries. No sign of fading. Great value.

Great structure and mouthfeel but quite closed and restrained at the moment, especially on the nose. There is nice potential but I wont be opening another bottle for at least 5 years.

Fantastic Fleurie right in it's drinking window. I've had several top Beaujolais producers 2009 in the past year and this is the most Burgundian. Displays depth, length and structure while still maintaining freshness. Shows the potential of Gamay in the right hands.

Still some fruit but giving way to mostly tertiary flavors and aromas. Still pretty and fun to drink but starting to fade.

Bottom line is this needs time after opening. Drank 60% of the bottle on the first night and found the black pepper component somewhat overwhelming although the deep purple color is mesmerizing. The second night (after being plugged in 56 degree cooler) the wine really came together and was wonderful. Nice acidity, mouth coating and long finish. Good stuff.
