An amazing Chardonnay, but needs to be decanted. Tasted disappointing and oxidized when opened. An hour later in glass was drinking beautifully

A beautiful wine soft and with an extremely long finish. Mild dark fruit flavors but not jammy. Perfect with the dry aged steak covered with black truffle

Perhaps the best Chardonnay I ever had. Rich. Not of butter. Long finish. The only issue was a bit low in acid.

still a little woody and tannic, but much of the fruit is gone. A little disappointing. Fruit on the nose that disappears in the mouth. Very short finish.

so, after waiting a few hours with wine in the glass, the tannin have faded. The wine has some nice fruit and good acidity. Nice bright cherry fruit. I upgraded the score from 85 to 88

Wish i remembered the disgorge date. This was an older bottle that had been sitting in my cellar. Beautiful. Complex. Powerful. Yeasty. Dry. Great acid. An extraordinary bottle of bubbles.

Great wine. Drank with the 1997 Alzero with a steak. I liked the ALzero better, but this was the better match with the steak. Both held up beautifully over the time.

nothing wrong here. A beautiful wine. very pretty. floral, delicate and delicious. very nice delicate fruit. Not enough acid to stand up to be ideal for heavy meat, but did ok. WOuld be perfect alone or with cheese. Could sip for hours.

a nicely complex wine. Some earthy/leather notes (a little Brett?), but driven by dark fruit flavors. Not heavy and very soft round tannins.

Very rich deep. Lacked the acid I like in champagne. But long and complex. A great wine.

A little high in alcohol, but this one had no VA. Some dark Fruit still left, but lots of tertiary flavors. Deep, dark and delicious

Strange metallic finish that I associate with brett. Strangely if it was brett there was some fruit on the nose, but the flavor was flat and finished with a bitter metallic quality. Undrinkable to me.

Dark fruit and raisin. No alcohol. A little sweeter then would be ideal, but that is cured with a piece of blue cheese. Shows no sign of age at all. May wait several more years before opening the next bottle. A wine of pure pleasure.

A good, but not great cab. Dark fruit, hint of veggie. Some tannin still present. Felt a little thin and short to be as good as I would thin a Schrader should be.

This was disgorged in january 2012. Drank at Rossignol dinner. Oxidized, but not as much as the vintage 1999 I had the next week. Still very lively acid that went beautifully with the sherry notes. Bubble still strong. Great wine, but time to drink up.

At Rossignol dinner. Drank ok. Too much wood still present. nice dark fruit quality. But I can remember drinking a ridge wine where the wood had not properly integrated by this point in its life.

i understand that this wine is too big for some. It is huge. Big dark fruit, lots of alcohol. a hammer of a wine. Still there was enough substance there that it still drank well. Sweet on the palate, but not cloying. a good substitute for port, beer, or amarone. Still drinking very well. No problem holding a few more years, but no reason too.
