Excellent bottle with lots of potential. Needs more time in the cellar - try again in 2018/2019. If drinking now, decant for at least 1 hour. Wonderful notes of black and blue fruits and a slight hint of tobacco and menthol. Looking forward to trying again in a couple years.

Just an outstanding bottle of aged Napa cab. For us, this was singing on a very short decant. Cork was in excellent shape. Very little bricking. Dark, deep purple color. Nose was incredible, with tobacco, plum, and fig. The palate was actually very in-line with the nose, but showing even more tertiary components of earth and leather along with the tobacco. Fruit was all very present but not overpowering - some plums, figs, currants, and the finish went on forever. Outstanding.

This was awful. JUSTNATHAN nailed it. Tastes like bad homemade wine. Wouldn't be worth $1. Down the drain. And this wasn't a matter of "not getting it" - this was not good wine. Not flawed - no TCA or oxidation. Just not good.

This was outstanding. I'm not a huge zin fan, but this was just plain fabulous wine that's drinking great right now with a quick decant. Was concerned it would be too young, but thought it was showing very well.

This was fantastic. Still had good acidity - which is not consistent with other tasters, but so be it. Just enough sweetness to balance the acidity beautifully. Honey, apple, & pear on the palate. Golden color. We loved it.

This was way too young for my liking, but had to open a Bedrock before the new release. Day one it was very primary, and too much for me. Lacked balance, although the various components of a quality wine all seemed to be there. Day two was a whole different story - the wine was much more harmonious and drinking very nicely. Give this one 2-3 years at least, preferably 5+.

I wish I had followed this over a longer time period, but it was too good and went too fast. Celebration of completing moving day. The nose was gorgeous - floral, with hints of plums, mint, and blueberries. The palate was beautifully balanced, with medium tannins, wonderful acidity, and the same fruit from the nose, with maybe some hint of dried meat or tobacco. This is my kind of Syrah. I should've backed the truck up for this one.

This is one of my best purchases in a long time. Good fruit up front - blackberries and black cherries. Wonderful acidity that keeps it fresh and a pleasure to drink. The finish is impressive with some white pepper reminiscent of the northern Rhone. I am impressed and will be buying more Cabot.

Great wine - in a nice place right now, although still young - has a lot of life left. Really great dark fruit balanced by wonderful acidity. The previous taster says jammy - I'd disagree. This wasn't over-the-top in any way, just nice plum, tobacco, and even some strawberry flavors that taste fresh and light on their feet. Really good.

Excellent again. Big delicious factor, with balancing freshness from the acidity. Plum and pomegranate, as well as some grape juice flavors on the palate. Balanced across the palate from beginning to end with a medium finish. Really nice, and sad this was my last bottle.

What a difference a year makes... Now I wish I had bought a case of this. Going to look for more of it today. This one has come together very nicely. The acidity is still there, keeping it fresh (which I'm totally digging). whudock nailed it - silky on the palate, nothing overpowering, everything in balance. great finish. this is why i'm starting to prefer washington cabs to napa. this is just as good, but more restrained - just seems more elegant. No big alcohol (at least not that you can detect), nice dark red fruit, good acidity - nice wine.

This was very good. Well-balanced through the palate. Light on its feet - a pleasure to drink. Not heavy or jammy. Good acidity, but not overwhelming. A well-made, balanced wine. Wish I had bought more.

this was better than i remember at the tasting room. went great with grilled halibut. lovely notes of pear, melon, wet rock, and slight touch of vanilla from the oak. rich, but not overly so. still had good acidity to keep it fresh. nice bottle.

Acid freaks will love this one. Just fantastic bottle of beaujolais. Bright, tart, red fruit on the nose and palate. Nice herb and spice on the nose as well. Some pepper on the palate as well as some barely noticeable minerality. I really liked this, and it got even better on day 2, which leads me to believe this has more to show. Hold for 1 year at least.

This was beautifully balanced. Drank wonderfully after a one hour decant. Nose of currant, red fruit, and minerals. On the palate, it is very silky smooth, with red and black fruit, mineral, tobacco. Wonderful finish. I really enjoyed it and am glad I have more in the cellar.

This needed air time but opened up rather nicely. Herbs and veggies on the nose, plus some cherry and blueberry, with a touch of oak. On the palate, quite dry, but some good red fruit, plus some decent spice (presumably from the oak). Short to medium finish. All in all, not bad for $11

Decanted one hour. This was just delicious. A phenomenal nose with some black and red fruit (blackberries, strawberries, cherries dominate), and some great floral notes - some dried rose petal in there. The palate is wonderful - great fruit, fresh acidity, sweet tannins - just a pleasure. Will wait at least one year for the next one.

Perfect example of aged Bordeaux. Tannins have melted away - wine is beautifully integrated and balanced. The nose has aromas of black fruit, leather, tobacco, and light mint. On the palate, more black fruit, plums, and minerality. The finish lasts for long over one minute. Still has great acidity and freshness. Fabulous bottle of wine.

Air was an enemy to this wine. Definitely a pop & pour. Upon opening, was quite good. 30 min. in the glass and it just kept going downhill. By day 2 it was even worse. However, upon opening it is quite good - recommend pop & pour and keep sealed between pours.

Thought this was quite good for the vintage. Straightforward brunello. Nose: cherries, raspberries, some rosemary, and a bit of earthiness. Palate: classic sour cherry brunello palate profile, but nothing heavily gripping. Just flows very smoothly across the midpalate into a medium finish. Nice wine that can be consumed now.

Notes from memory. Splash decant - 15 min. Was a bit tight at first, but slowly opened up throughout the evening. Was much better with food than without... Lighter on the palate overall than expected, but still had decent mid-palate grip. Nose was nice - red fruit mostly, with some herbaceousness - almost minty. Similar profile on the palate - medium finish. Nice acidity, tannins still there - they softened up with air. I liked it, but didn't love it. Next bottle in 2 years (I hope).

Decanted for one hour. Beautiful nose of red and black fruit - like strawberries and blackberries combined, with just a hint of vanilla and cedar. The palate is reflective of the nose, starting with blackberry, currant, and vanilla on the start, with a hint of strawberry on the mid-palate, and a very silky and long finish. IMO, this is better than the 2006. Great stuff.

This one is a bit hot for my liking, both on the nose and the palate. It's got a lot of residual sugar. Very jammy up front, then jammy, almost grape juice/jam on the mid-palate. Finishes hot - this did not blow off with air. I kinda liked it, but didn't love it.
