excellent wine. dark fruit balanced with tannins. has a bit of earthiness as known with Rutherford wines. Nice finish. Smooth.

not much nose right out of the bottle, but after decanting 1 hour it did open up. good fruit and and not too tannic. finish ok. Not as great as I would expect for a Howell Mountain, especially 2004 vintage. Overall nice wine but have had much better Howell Mountain cabs for the price.
