Dark honey in color, outstanding richness and complexity. An incredible white with the weight to match pork, sauced salmon, and other stronger entrees.

Must agree with mbeutel review who suggested holding 4-5 years. Decanted this last night and showed promise but never really opened up. More of an Old World style red, so not expecting opulent fruit and overwhelming nose, but this is one shy wine at the moment.

Stunning paired with grilled lamb chops. Ripe fruits of dark cherry with chocolate accents, great body with long finish. Big and bold but drinking very well right now.

Ripe, round fruit, perhaps a bit fat. Missing acidity and minerality to offset the rich fruit. Not a bad effort, though.

Beautiful nose of blueberries and flowers. Wine of great depth with substantial tannins yet all in balance. Delightful.

Quite tight but with great fruit shows the potential of this wine in the years to come. Too young to fully appreciate now it is still showing as a very good wine. Patience should reward us with an outstanding wine in a few years, though.

Ripe fruit that has been richly extracted. A bit over-wooded, but still highly drinkable. Classic cab aromas of ripe cherry, leather, and tobacco. Its a deep dark wine that was satisfying with grilled steak.

Had this vintage several times over the past 3 years and it was always closed and disappointing...until last night! This beauty finally opened up and delivered the ripe fruit flavors I have come to expect from Colchagua wines. Rich and full-bodied with a long finish. Excellent wine.

Ripe and smoky, delicious with planked salmon on the grill. Classic, lush Carneros Pinot nicely balancing big fruit with enough tannins to make for long, enjoyable finish.

Big, deep earthy red that is drinking exceptionally well almost 10 years after harvest. Crowd pleaser at our dinner party.

Lacking in depth and complexity, a fairly average wine from one of my favorite producers in Napa. Wine seems to lack structure and backbone. This is their attempt to combine Sangiovese and Cabernet in a sort of American-made Super Tuscan. Had earlier vintages and seems a consistently bland bottling for Silverado, who otherwise make outstanding Cabs.

Awesome, drinking perfectly. Paired with homemade Bolognese, the wine was still fresh with earthiness, integrated tannins and nice smoky finish. Quintessential Brunello - a real treat!

Very nice, not outstanding. Drank with New Year's Eve dinner of sausage lasagna. Rich and concentrated, earthy, lots of tannins on the finish. Can't see this getting any better with more cellar time. Overall well-balanced and straightforward. I guess if you want a more contemplative wine, drink the big brother - Luce!

This wine is showing its aged. Still drinks well but color is beyond straw and approaching a light butterscotch revealing some oxidation. Acid is in decline. Still paired well with chicken in cream sauce, but the Schramsberg 2006 Blanc de Blanc was better with it.

Good wine, drank too soon, needs another 2-3 years to develop and let tannins mellow. Good fruit and balance, will definitely improve with age. Couldn't resist temptation to try now, but memo to self, drink again in 2012.

Decent wine that shows promise of being great. 5years after the vintage and it is still too tanic to truly enjoy! The inky purple-blackness is impenetrable to light, giving indication to the intensity of this wine. But the lushness of the fruit is good with earthiness on the finish that serves to balance the wine. Would be interesting to see how it evolves in another 2 years, say late 2012.

A more rustic style Napa Cab. The fruit is deliciously ripe with lots of earth and leather. More old world in style and paired perfectly with Italian-oriented menu. Drinking well now. Tannins don't predict a long future.

Great little Cabernet from California's Central Coast. Classic Cab aromas of cherry and leather, confirmed on tasting with rich ripe red fruits. Tannins are fine and integrated, making this very easy to drink. Elegant and nicely balanced, this one is a pleasure to drink before, during, and after dinner.

Enjoyable wine. Very deep purple color in the glass. Berries and herb on the nose. Big fruit forward style with peppery flavors mid-palate and into the finish. Great with food, especially barbecue meats. Tannins are big but not overwhelming. For me, very drinkable now. Will check again in another year or so and see where it develops.
