Dark ruby red. Stone fruit and clove nose. Dense concentration on the palate. Has a lot of time to mature.

Deep color. Plenty of concentrated dried fruit on the nose. Continues with rasin and cherry with a long finish. Still a little tight so could mature.

Had at Red Salt on our honeymoon in Kauai. Pretty tightly-wound and acidic. May do well with some age on it.

Ordered the last bottle at Merriman's, Maui on our honeymoon. Golden color. Earthy but somewhat sweet nose similar to a Sauternes. Smooth dried fruit taste with plenty of acidity.

A litttle tired. Too much fruit that doesn't integrate well with the mellowing tannins.

A real crowd-pleaser. Drank at my graduation dinner at Tanta, Chicago. Floral bouquet and bright fruit taste. Good amount of acidity that worked well with the pork belly.

Consumed at graduation dinner at Tanta, Chicago. Probably too big for the menu which had a lot of fish, chicken, and pork. Tannins are well-integrated and the wine is overall pretty mellow.

SA winegeeks. I don't remember much of this one because I tried it at the end of a long line of California blends mixed in with some Bdx, CdP, and an amazing super tuscan. I wrote down in my notes: candy. but good. 92. I'll have to re-visit this one.

SA winegeeks tasting. Steve brought this one - thanks! This was an incredible wine that probably should have been decanted. It really opened up over the course of the night. Spicy nose, still very acidic with dense tannins but with fruit that appeared later in the night. Finish was on the short side.
