A superb and unique wine. 2014 has had a bad rap from the wine media which belies some great wines. As always it’s producer driven. This wine has a bright translucent red colour and the nose is multi layered with red fruits and aromatics of fennel and dried herbs . Palate is lifted and complex with superfine tannins. Burgundian comes to mind.
Delicious wine, wish I’d bought more

Right on song. Starting to settle into its drinking window. Tannins have softened. Lovely nose , good fruit and moderate length.

John Gilman is the only one who gets this wine cudos John! This is a unique wine with such individuality. Cold fire ash, bitter cherries and game bird, pomegranate
Good length and a rounded finish say this wine is coming into its drinking window. No rush but ok to open a bottle too.
Enjoy

Good fruit but a bit four square . Lacks the lift of a great Ducster. Might be worth leaving for a while but I'm not sure if it will really reach great heights even with time

A good solid wine. A bit darker and more broody than the 2012. Will improve so no rush to drink

Has slipped into early maturity beautifully with softening of the acid and citrus elements and rounding out nicely. Had it with Korean food and it was a real delight to drink

An elegant expression of Barolo, almost Burgundian but with the distinctive tannin structure of the Lazarito vineyard. Lovely wine, drinking well but no hurry here.

A bit young and unevolved but some good raw materials. Quite acidic with firm, fine tannins. Interesting fruit but needs time to flesh out.
Suggest try again in a few years

Maturing nicely, the crunchy acidity has given way to a softer dark fruit quality, good length and balance. By no means past its best but not sure it will improve further
