Bottled under neo cork and showing. Oxidized with an amazing amount of ethyl acetate on it too. Undrinkable.

Pale straw with green hints, moderate earth driven nose. Surprisingly rich for an '04 with baked yellow orchard fruits and lemon curd notes framed by baking spices and vanillin (oak) with light wet stone. Moderate plus body, with a rich, creamy roundness to it (lots of batonage?) more so than even Grand Cru '04 whites. Moderate plus acidity, moderate alcohol and complexity. Long length with a slight nutty back end. Palate flavors follow the nose with slightly more richness and density. An enjoyable, thicker '04 that lack some of the definition I was hoping for.

Dark in color with a tight nose of blackfruits, cherry, spice and raspberry. Medium bodied with good intensity. Pretty tight on the palate as well with more blackfruits cherry and baking spice. In great balance, and in need of a few more years to flesh out more.

Aromas of spice(nutmeg, cinnamon) slate, minerals, ripe fruits, pear, lemon and vanilla. Medium bodied with with great intensity. Spice, minerals, pears, pineapple, lemons and tropical fruit fill out the palate. Good balance considering the hefty alcohol. Luckily with the large amount of ripe fruit it should outlast the heavyhanded oak treatment.

Pretty much the same with mushrooms, spice, baked bread apple and pear on the nose. Lively mousse and acidity with more mushrooms, earth, yeast and apple.

Light yellow color as to be expected from such a baby. Semi tight nose of orange peel, dried apricot, honey and peach. Medium bodied with lots of fatness. More of the same in the mouth with a burnt sugar quality and good botrysis. Nice, but will never be great.

Medium bodied with resolved tannins and an explosive taste of red and black fruits, spice, mushroom, truffle, earth, hung game, tobacco, tea and cardomon. What Burgundy is all about.

Very tight in the glass only being able to coax out some dark fruits, cola and spice. Suprisingly lighter bodied with more dark fruits, strawberry ad cherry. A lot better than the No. 6 but still hot, out of balance and not a pleasure to drink.

Dried cherries, baked/overcooked strawberries, raspberries and cherries though the fruit seemed muddled/dirty, not really pure, though a definite expression of fruit. Reasonably balanced with more fruit than acidity and tannin.

Dark in color with loads of dark berries, casis, chocolate, cedar and vanilla. Round in the mouth with all of the above and oak. Slightly hot, with sweet tannin and a moderately long finish. Prefer to the 2001, didn't have the 2000.

Beautiful clear red orange color with rust orange toward the rim. Full nose of clove, peat, damp mushrooms, dates, orange peel, brandied apricot. In the mouth strawberry, overripe persimmon, roses and tea. Good balance between fruit/acid/tannin with a medium finish. Tannin still needs probably another year to integrate.

Nose of citrus, orange & lemon rind with barely a whiff of cherries and strawberries poking through. In the mouth the citrus overwhelms giving a sense of spritz and blocking out almost everything else. I hope this is just a bad bottle since I still have two more left, but I don't believe it to be. After one glass corked and put in the refridgerator in hopes that the citrus notes may lighten.
