Decent wine if you like this style, I typically prefer bigger/bolder wines (my wife wanted to try this) but this is definitely softer, as expected given it is 60/40 Pinot and Merlot, and aged 25% in neutral French oak and 75% in stainless. Cherry, strawberry, a little cola and hint of chocolate, medium acidity, very soft tannins, medium-long finish (I was surprised by the finish).

Another solid Ridge zin - dark fruit, hint of cocoa, then nice acidity, medium finish, could use a little time but still good now if you let it open

Notes of apricot, honey, orange peel, tropical fruits, hint of nuts/cashew, then left with hints of candied orange peel and lemongrass, acidity seemed diminished, really nice dessert wine.

Cork was dry and disintegrated, so filtered and decanted briefly. I was worried with the cork, but the wine was great - nice flavors of plum, blackberry, cassis, a little leather and vanilla, mellow tannins, med-long finish, we thought it was great. Can't wait to open our last 2007 bottle.

Jammy plum, a little chocolate, hint of white pepper, a little alcohol but not as strong as other reviews. We liked it, but not sure it's worth the price, we've had others as good or better for less.

Definitely let it open if you drink now. Dark fruit and a hint of toasted marshmallow on the nose, but then more red fruit flavor, vanilla and a hint of oak on the palate, med-long finish, nice.

Opened, aerated and decanted about an hour, served with grilled NY strip steak. Nice wine but better with food as other reviews said, still pretty strong tannins, blackberry, a little plum, bitter dark chocolate, a little graphite, medium finish. Seems like it could still use some time to mellow, if you drink now definitely have it with a good cut of beef and not on its own.

Nice, easy-drinking wine, good QPR - citrus, lemon zest, honey, med-low acidity, a little sweeter than we were expecting but not too much, great drinking on a spring evening!

Starting to show just a little age in the color - garnet/dark maroon color (not as dark and inky as previous), blackberry, black cherry, leather, hint of graphite toward the end, medium finish. We liked it, had with NY strip steak.

Really like this wine, first time we've had it. Aerated and decanted x 30-60 minutes, drank over next hour.
Flavors consistent with other notes here, primarily red fruits, a little blackberry, hint of cocoa and maybe white pepper, nice acidity, medium finish, very nice zin blend.

Pretty good especially for the price - lemon zest, citrus, floral note, medium acidity but not too crisp, paired well with chicken and risotto.

Decent sauv blanc, not the most complex but a nice spring bottle - crisp lemon, a little pear, touch of floral/rose petal and a little minerality, paired well with fish.

A nice pinot noir, but drinking dates on CT are right on, this is losing fruit. Some strawberry, cherry, floral (rose?) note, minerality. Paired well with salmon, but losing flavor, based on our precious bottle score would be higher if not passing its prime - drink up if you have any.

Really nice, served with NY strip and mushroom sauce, potatoes and brusser sprouts - good pairing with the steak and mushrooms. Blackberry, some minerality and hint of graphite, earthiness/forest floor, maybe a hint of fennel as well, nice acidity, medium finish - we really liked it, you can taste the elevation in this wine, definitely not a fruit-forward wine.

Consistent with previous notes but oak flavors are fading a little, and fruit flavors faded just slightly, still a nice balance of fruit, acidity, minerality.

Delicious, dark fruits, vanilla, some herbal notes, hint of chocolate, smooth tannins - we tasted blind with others, color showed age but the taste fooled a lot of us, thought it was younger, really nice and still has years left on it.

Consistent with my previous note but fruit flavor seems to be fading a bit, some black cherry, cola, a hint of eucalyptus (my wife got this in last bottle), medium-short finish, probably time to drink if you have any

Decanted about an hour, drank over next 1-2 hrs, served with peppercorn NY strip steak. Blueberry, blackberry, oak, hint of leather then chocolate, a little pepper at the end, low-med tannins, smooth, well integrated, medium-long finish. Overall - we really liked it, a good wine, great with the steak, but we thought a bit overpriced for the quality, maybe passing its prime as another review said.

Lemon peel, pineapple, hint of vanilla, oak, and minerality, pretty good balance, nice acidity and paired well with chicken, medium finish. Pretty good especially for a MI wine, definitely not a big buttery fruit/oak bomb as some west coast chardonnays can be.

This was our 2nd bottle, and we waited too long to drink, past its prime. From the lingering flavors, and from our last bottle, this was definitely a solid Napa Merlot - score reflective of current state. Bummer.

Very nice pinot, served with salmon - nose of cherries, hint of blueberries and smoke with a floral note; flavors of cherry cola, blueberry crumble, a little raspberry, nicely integrated tannins, smooth, definitely a California pinot but we really liked it

Really nice, recanted x 1 hr, served with ribeye steaks. Dark fruits- blackberry, black cherry, plums, then hints of leather, dust, and just a little earthiness at the end, soft tannins, medium finish, really good! Great to revisit after so long, can't wait to try the last bottle in a couple years.

Still a nice wine, but agree not the best QPR, similar flavors to previous notes - dark fruits, dark chocolate, hint of leather, very smooth, fruit flavors starting to fade a bit. Our last bottle of 2007, but look forward to drinking other vintages.

Decanted for about an hour, served with NY strip steak. Very nice, great to have a Stag's Leap can with a little age, definitely mellowed over time - black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, a little leather, maybe hint of tobacco, nice tannins that have mellowed a bit, fruit is fading a bit as well, medium-long finish, very nice

Served with lobster, consistent with last tasting note but for some reason this bottle seemed a little more buttery and a little more creamy mouthfeel, still flavors of lemon and honeysuckle, and some oak, nice balance of flavors, medium finish, liked it more this time. Very nice, paired really well with lobster.

Interesting to read the varying notes - I will say Mollydooker style wines are not for everyone's taste. It might sound silly, but I also think doing the Mollydooker "shake" makes a difference - much better when you do it. We did the shake, opened and decanted about an hour, drank over the next 90 minutes, served with grilled ribeye steaks. Surprisingly dark purple/mulberry color, big jammy blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, oak, a little black cherry, hints of white pepper, a little dark chocolate, maybe graphite too, long finish. Tannins and fruit have integrated nicely, alcohol has calmed down a bit. I can't drink this style every day, but a fun wine if you like this style.

Well, I spoke too soon with my last note...just over a year later and this is even better! Similar to previous note and others, but less herbaceous notes now. Really nice, likely the best producer in Michigan.

Agree with notes from BAM_MAN, perfect description from what we tasted, paired great with peppercorn NY strip steaks. Definitely needed time to open up, but I do think this is about peaked and won't likely get much better with more age.

Not sure about other notes/experiences, but the one we had was fantastic! Black cherry, currant, pepper, a little vanilla, leather, surprisingly a little sweet, fairly big tannins, medium-long finish. May be hitting its stride, glad we have 1 more!
