A Chardonnay that holds up well against the finest. Aged in oak, it has the classic characteristics of a CA Chardonnay. This winery, although small and off the map, does well in all of it's releases - this is no exception

Continues to improve (decanted 30 mins) - possesses a strong nose, dominated with dark fruits & berries, with hints of licorace. A medium bodied start which is smooth & silky on the tongue, while opening up with a burst of dark fruit with a balanced level of acidity. The finish lingers long and remains silky. Look forward to seeing how this one continues to develop.

A vintage we have enjoyed in the past - this was aerated via gadget: The nose has lost some punch, with dominate currant & fig, with hints of toasted toffee. This ruby colored, medium bodied vintage, has a deep & earthen - leathery front, opening up with a burst of dark berries displaying an earthen hue. This ends with a smooth, dry, medium finish - well balanced. This paired well with various cheeses, fruits & nuts. This may have another couple of years.

I reached for this when another wine disapointed. Paired with beef & starches. Required some air to round out the tannins, but salvaged a Tuesday evening dinner with the family with its moderately fruitful nose, smoothness on the palette, and an increasingly silkiness (with more time) on the finish. Looking forward to tasting again under better circumstances.

An excellent crafted wine from a real legend in this region - Jaques Recht. His goal to bring the Calitfornia-style Pino Nior to this region has well been surpassed. This is once in a decade vintage. I expect it to get even better in time. Jaques - well done.

A semi-dry Riesling of pace. that can still be too sweet. A good drink and a refreshing change of pace. Goes well with salmon

Elegant, lightly oaked, with apple & pear flavors with a vanilla finish.
